Saule Omarova, President Joe Biden’s nominee for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), called during a March 2021 virtual conference to eliminate all private bank accounts and deposits.
Omarova discussed one of her papers, “The People’s Ledger How to Democratize Money and Finance the Economy,” which would help “redesign” the financial system and make the economy “more equitable for everyone.”
She said it would change the “private-public power balance” and democratize finance to a more systemic level.
During her conference speech, she said, “There will be no more private bank accounts, and all of the deposit accounts will be held directly at the Fed”:
Omarova said her proposal would give the Fed more “proactive” monetary policy tools, such as “helicopter money.” She also pondered how the Federal Reserve could “take money” from Americans during an inflationary environment.

Yes, that’s a concern. Make sure to have some “hard assets”.
I read several books on International Finance. The author in the process of collecting information asked some of the richer families in Europe how they had survived financially for 100s of years and many generations.
They replied to basically get out of Dodge:
1. Cut all the valuable paintings out of the frames, and roll up to take with you.
2. Take all your deeds to property with you.
3. Bag up the gold/silver coins to take with you.
When the war or whatever is over, Come back to the country, and establish your ownership.
Use the Gold, silver, sale of art to finance the repair and replacement of home, furniture, etc.
Of course, we have no where to run to really, other than from Blue states to Red. But we can own land, silver, gold etc. and I consider stocking food, seeds, and ammo just as important.
During the 70s, I read a book about surviving inflation - they pointed out that in other countries people survived by having things that were in demand, but not likely to be confiscated.
The government would take the food, but the people kept small items like cigarettes for example to trade for essentials. Some people even maintained little shops with stuff like that and traded it for various things that people brought in to purchase their merchandise.
The firefighters, LEOs, healthcare pros aren't bending. I have a lot of confidence in the will of the American people. They're walking out, waging lawsuits--the biggest group that can nation to its knees is the working people. What happens when the truckers, the grocers, the police and firefighters don't show up? I think that harnessing that power is key to resolution of this situation.
Of course, bringing it up on this forum is tantamount to telegraphing one's punches. We need better minds than mine to resolve these issues. Gotta go. The dogs and cats want dinner. :)
That video is pretty long. Do you have a shorter one where she says Eliminate All Private Bank Accounts? I want to convince myself that she really said that.

GMTA - I am almost a total tee-totaler - occasional wine cooler when we go out to eat 2 or 3 times per year-never these days. I was thinking the same thing.
I was thinking of getting the great big bottles of Vodka and Whiskey etc. and a bunch of smaller jars - pints or half pints.
The vodka can also be used with medicinal herbs to make an extract that lasts longer than other methods. Home made meds.
Good points. You certainly have an advantage with your knowledge base and the way you’ve set up your homestead. Seems like bartering economy and black market would prevail on a local level.

That’s part of the problem. We don’t approach life the way the BLM creatures do. The operate on the basis of manipulation and deception. Think of Van Jones and his “nudges”; that kind of behavior is usually repugnant to the Americans I know.
