I saw Robert Cray a few years ago. It was a decent performance, but the guy played for 50 minutes!! That was AFTER the encore. It was literally the biggest musical ripoff ever.

I've had opening bands play longer sets. I've attended longer Christmas Plays in elementary school, longer sets in a bar, and I didn't have to pay $50 for a ticket in those cases.

Maybe the REAL problem, is Robert didn't want to play as long as Clapton wanted him to play, and he now has air cover.

Another drama queen. Clapton will go down as one of the 5 greatest guitarists and Mr ‘hey there I’m black!” can go home and not tour with him. Big deal. I know a lot of musicians here in L.A who will happily jump unto the chance.
