Even when the money is turned into actual supplies and food, once it hits the ground, it is gathered, taken and rounded up by those with guns...warlords and such...who terrorize the people for whom the food is intended.

It happens again and again. A very old story.

And people wonder why Africa never changes

how about it. back in the early-mid 50’s...I collected pennies, nickels and dimes for UNICEF (collection tins looked like smokeless tobacco tins with a slot on top) to feed the starving “pagan” babies in Africa (Went to Catholic schools).

all these years later, they are still starving ...for whatever reason
