President Biden, who in December said he “wouldn’t demand” vaccines be mandatory, not only mocked unvaccinated Americans on Thursday and their freedom to make their own medical decisions, but also endorsed the firing of first responders and police who don’t comply.
During a town hall event with CNN, moderator Anderson Cooper asked about his thoughts on first responders and police in a number of major cities who are refusing to take the vaccine, which has been mandated at the city level.
“Should police officers, emergency responders be mandated to get vaccines and if not, should they stay at home or be let go?” he wondered.
“Yes and yes,” Biden replied to applause. “By the way, I waited until July to talk about mandating because I tried everything else possible. The mandates are working. All the stuff about people leaving … all the talk about all these folks who are going to leave if they’re mandated, not true, you got about a 90 some percent vaccination rate.”
He then mocked one of the main concerns about the mandates—“freedom,” and said those people are trying to make it a “political issue.”
“‘I have the freedom to kill you with my Covid,’ I mean come on, freedom,” he said.
He also blasted "the gross misinformation that’s out there" and took a jab at Fox News.
"Do you realize they mandate vaccinations? I find it mildly fascinating," he said.
Earlier this month Fox News's Tucker Carlson exposed Biden for lying about a mandate at Fox.
“To be clear, we just have a show on this channel, that's it, we don't run the company and we would never presume to speak for the company,” Carlson said in response. “But as a factual matter, what Joe Biden just said is completely untrue. It is a lie, period."

This was not a town hall. It was by invitation only. No contrary opinions were allowed in the room. It was a Biden Campaign event stated by the Lying Media.
The FCC should fine CNN for violating campaign finance laws. It was an illegal campaign contribution in kind by CNN

If you force someone to do something, they tend to do it.
That’s not much of an insight. It similarly can be said that torture “works”. The question is whether it’s morally justified, not whether it “works”.

Didn’t watch that propaganda but I’m guessing bidumb wasn’t asked about the capitol hill covid shot exemptions.
That makes any mandate null and void in my mind.

This entire townhall was a complete disaster for Biden. Too bad it was on CNN and no one was watching.
You can always tell it’s a set-up when they write “Biden replied to applause.” Only hand-picked brain-dead Democrats would applaud that senile tyrant.

Yes we have, and should have, the freedom to remain un-vaccinated. Does that mean an un-vaccinated person may get covid? Yes. Does that mean an un-vaccinated person may transmit covid to someone else, vaccinated or not? Yes. Ditto the vaccinated (apparently) they would appear to be just at much at risk of contracting and spreading covid.
Oh the horror! ;-/ You mean those un-washed, un-vaccinated might be responsible for poor, compliant members of the body, er, state, er, vaccinated types getting sick? Yes. It is in fact freedom and liberty. Yes you can spin that to sound bad - and eventually wrap yourself so far around the axle you wonder why we would let anyone wander around placing others at risk.
Two reasons. One, the alternative is quite literally tyranny and slavery. Your body, your choices, are no-longer your own if the state can force medical procedures on you (or withhold them). Two, we do it all the time. Every time someone gets in a car and drives off, they have the potential to injure or kill others. We agree not to drive impaired or distracted (some still do), we agree to obey traffic laws (some break them). No one thinks a thing of it. If you go out to eat, you assume the chefs and wait staff will be careful with your food and won't poison you. When you get on a plane you trust the pilots and ATC controllers will do their jobs and keep you safe. When you walk along the ground and planes fly overhead you trust they won't drop on you...
In so many aspects of our lives we do place trust in others, others that have the freedom and ability to do us harm but do not. It is the same lesson with vaccines. No-one should be forced to take them. No one. We should trust that others will not sneeze into our faces, that if they are not feeling well they will self-isolate. If you don't trust others, maintain your own distance, take your own protective measures, wear a mask if it makes you feel better.
It is a fundamental divide we are seeing. Those that are cowed by fear vs people just getting on with their lives enjoying freedom and liberty.
The fearful are so afraid of covid, it has been made out to be such a big bad boogieman, that they want everyone forced to get a marginally effective vaccine or be forced out of society. These are the same kinds of people, the same kinds of fears that have been promoted about firearms - they want the big bad boogieman of "guns" taken away from everyone. Or they have been made so fearful of "global warming" or "climate change" that they will happily sign away freedoms to "save the earth..."
The common trait is people having been manipulated through fear. Anyone not buying into the fear mongering is made out to be the bad guy - the un-vaccinated, the "gun nuts," the "climate deniers." It is all about fear and manipulation on a global scale. Too many of us are falling for it.
