Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) on Thursday said he offered to change his party affiliation to an independent amid tough reconciliation negotiations with President Biden and the far-left.
Manchin told reporters he had offered Biden and the far-left to become an independent if he become an “embarrassment” to the Democrat Party.

This is beyond the usual Manchin angling for the biggest payout. Manchin must want to keep his seat and realize the winds are not blowing in the Dems favor. The Dems have become so brazenly communist that they may have pushed Manchin’s chances beyond the margin of cheat.
This guy has eyes on the White House.... he can play the game far better than Dementia Puppet and Old Mattress...

The 2 current independents happens to be Dems for intents and purposes.
Actually I think are already 2 Independents in the Senate, Sanders being one and the other may also be from Vermont too. They caucus with the Dems making it 50-50. Manchin didn’t really make an offer, he just framed it as an offer to be diplomatic. He is saying “I won’t stand with the party if it continues in this direction” except he’s going the opposite way of the other two Independents who are pushing the party farther left as you’d expect from Sanders (don’t know much about the other).

Manchin represents a state that Biden lost by almost 40 points. Biden has absolutely zero leverage over him.

He has zero reason to switch. Once he switches to the GOP, all the attention would go to RINOs, like Mittens, on whether they would vote with the Dems.
