Yes. China owns about $1 trillion in U.S. treasuries. By the way, they owe us about $1 trillion too. Though, the "us" they owe isn't our government, but many U.S. citizens who bought Chinese treasuries a century ago. Obviously, the original buyers are dead but China owes their heirs all the same (and whoever bought Chinese treasuries on e-bay when young Americans inherited worthless Chinese treasuries that China has been defaulting on for decades).
At best. China is a third the size of the US in its economy. That’s the real economy and not the paper economy.
If the US had to suddenly give up $12 trillion, it would be a quite a hit. It’s a much bigger hit for China to suddenly lose $12 trillion.
Not enough to matter. Contrary to popular belief, China doesn’t hold a huge amount of our debt anymore. If I remember correctly, their total U.S. debt holdings are now just slightly over $1 trillion. Pelosi and the dems can sink us that far in five minutes.
China will not hesitate to “burn the oil fields” rather than surrender to anyone. They will not hesitate to sacrifice millions of their citizens in a war with the US and they smell blood with the Biden Oligarchy.
We can’t hide our $28 trillion debt problem, or our demented President, or our vote-buying Congress.

I find that hard to believe. The nation is only in debt 1/3 of that. According to Wikipedia the total number of U.S. Treasury securities held by foreign countries in June 2020 was $7.04 trillion. Do you have a source for the $90 trillion figure?

that was certainly true the war they fought in the field. They attack en masse. The first spread eagled on the serpentine wire and others running over their backs and willing to take huge casualties. Which they did in Korea.
