Ace Hardware is reportedly finding it difficult to keep shelves full due to the supply chain crisis threatening grocers, emergency medical services, and holiday shoppers.
Operations manager John Ketels told thechroniclesonline.com his store in St. Helens, Washington, is having difficulty stocking items due to lack of warehouse inventory.

These shortages must be regional so far. All my local stores have full shelves. Sam’s Club limited the TP for a while but that was it.
I did find one at ACE. Made me realize if something so common and simple as a cover plate can't be found then the issue is indeed very deep.

Same here. When I read about these shortages I went to my local grocery, drug store and Lowes. All well stocked.

My local Dollar General is getting bare. The cashier said they hadn’t had a delivery in 3 weeks. Walmart had everything, except oddly, frozen Brussels Sprouts, but the shelves aren’t fully stocked. I doubled and tripled my purchases this week.

This is due to our own idiocy for allowing countries lik China and India replace our manufacturing base so we can purchase crappy nuts and bots from them for two cents per piece rather than manufacture them here and pay five cents per piece.
We are victims of own greed and short-sightedness.
I can’t recall exactly where but believe there is a verse in the Bible that warns about this.

In Feb 2020, I heard the first reports of shortages and panic buying.
They all came from CA.
It didn’t make sense until two months later.
It would be interesting to notice if shortages now are also being reported from CA.
