Low earth obit is Mach 25, in a vacuum no aerodynamic resistance.
It only counts in air.
What they have is a fast re-entry vehicle...
I remember when China couldn’t get a rocket off the ground. That was until Bill Clinton cleared the way.
Whatever, they have a weaponized space station plan, no doubt, they can drop a nuke down our chimney anytime they want.
High ground rules
Woke US Military vs Winners - bump for later....
I haven’t seen mention of how long it took to circle the globe.
The Biden Admin will show them they’ve started the New Green Deal and about to flush billions in one flush
This must be fake news. General Milley assured us that he and his ‘equal’ in China constantly communicated with each other to reassure each other.
Wait..Milley didn’t get a phone call? No email? Telegram? tiktok? Nothing at all?
I seem to recall the USAF accomplishing this by accident about 1957. Yeah, I’m that old. It was some sort of air-launched missile.
Today it would be an ideal EMP delivery weapon.
I won’t believe the US hasn’t got the capability already, and isn’t broadcasting the fact.
('rat mantra)
What is different about this rocket from any other? It would seem to me they are all hypersonic and any rocket that can carry a weather satellite can carry a nuke. I like fear porn as much as the next guy but it has to at least be real fear.
A special kind of stupid.
Yep. The Clintons sold us down the river for bargain basement prices.
Indeed, the same could be said of the rest of the treasonous folks in the DNC who’ve steadily sold us out for what was probably a pittance.
That Fauci would illegally fund bioweapon research in Communist China is just proof of who the Deep State doesn’t consider the enemy to be and suggest who they really do consider to be the enemy (Americans).
re: “Today it would be an ideal EMP delivery weapon.”
“EMP”, overblown on the order of Covid-19 as it stands ...
All were taken out of service by 1988 and Congress did not approve a replacement. The X-37 is the closest we have and that was a NASA program to start.
We do NOT have that capability other than by strapping weapons to the X-37, and we’ve made.... two.
The major difference is broad crossrange maneuverability. A ballistic missile warhead is really just that, ballistic. You can generally tell where it’s going from the moment it comes over your radar horizon - it’s like throwing a tennis ball, its ability to change course is relatively limited after warhead separation. A hypersonic glide vehicle is more like a space shuttle in terms of ability to maneuver on the way down, if not better. It can also have a very nasty terminal low altitude final delivery profile - running Mach 3+ on the deck.
Not my field of expertise .
But is this a way they can take out our carriers?
The “thousand talents program” has been a huge success.
“The “thousand talents program” has been a huge success”
Well, our thousand talents program has been a big success also…we have the best LGBTQ studies anywhere.
