Liz Joy, a Republican congressional candidate, said Friday two of her family members used an unproven coronavirus treatment called ivermectin to help their COVID-19 symptoms and is recommending on social media that others consider using the medication.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has not approved or authorized the drug ivermectin for use in people or animals to treat COVID-19. The National Institutes of Health also has determined there are insufficient data to recommend ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19. Clinical trials are ongoing.
Ivermectin is used in humans to treat some parasites and is common in veterinary medicine for conditions like heartworm disease.
The drug has received significant attention on social media and in conservative media as a treatment for COVID-19, making the drug hard for veterinarians to get and leading some Americans to poison themselves with large doses.
A recent study cited by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found ivermectin prescriptions have increased 24-fold over the pre-pandemic baseline. Also, this year, U.S. poison control centers have reported three times the number of calls regarding ivermectin exposures in humans.
Joy, who is running to represent the Capital Region in Congress, said her family member who tested positive for the coronavirus took ivermectin — prescribed by a provider — and was feeling better soon after. She said another relative who lived with the coronavirus patient took the drug for "preventative" reasons, too. Joy declined to name her relatives or the doctor who prescribed the drug.
Joy is not vaccinated for COVID-19, she said, and has protested against vaccine and mask mandates. But she said she'd take ivermectin with the recommendation of a health care provider.

She claimed the FDA, CDC and NIH have been ignoring studies of ivermectin uses because, "I personally think a lot of this has to do with money.” She said providers who want to prescribe it have been "censored, silenced and shamed."
The U.S. has approved one antiviral drug, remdesivir, for treating COVID-19, and allowed emergency use of three antibody therapies that help the immune system fight the virus. All the drugs have to given by IV or injection in health care settings. Drug-maker Merck said it will soon ask health officials authorization of an anti-viral drug its studied with promising results.

What she should also do is state flat out the the FDA and the CDC are frauds who are responsible for many deaths.
It should be fairly simple. Give IVM to infected people and test how quickly they clear the virus from their system vs standard of care. I read a small study that was done on quarantined individuals, they cleared the virus in half the time vs placebo.
It’s not about covid, it’s about control. You will do what you are told, or you will suffer.
They all use the same terminology, and it's obvious that the failed English majors who are writing the stories wouldn't know science if it hit them in the face like a 2x4...

Some info on IVM
My wife got Covid (tested +) and I got it from her. She contacted FLCCC (Sep 13) and paid her money for a consult. 9 days later they returned her money saying they were too overwhelmed to talk to her.
I previously ordered the horse paste from Tractor Supply Aug 20. Am still waiting for it. After 2 weeks, I ordered more horse paste from Amazon. Took 9 days to get it at ~ $35 a tube.
Started the IVM on day 3. Used an earlier protocol calling for 0.2mg/ kg. Then saw that FLCCC updated the dosing to 0.4-0.6mg/kg for 5 days and adjusted accordingly days 4+5.
Can’t say that the IVM made any difference. Maybe it did but there was no dramatic turnaround. At any rate we’ve both recovered.
The Durmectin which has been pictured on this site many times is probably gone. Now you’ll probably get either Bimectin or Ivermax which is made by the same manufacturer as the Durmectin.
One tube of 1.87% horse paste contains 112 mg of IVM. That means according to the updated FLCCC guidelines, a 100kg individual will need 2 1/2 tubes spread over 5 days. (Note: the FLCCC does not endorse horsepaste)
If you’re lucky enough to have the tabs the same individual would need about 85 3mg tabs to cover 5 days.
Everyone here knows how hard IVM is to get. If you’re planning on using it, hopefully you have sufficient on hand.

Ha ha. Like there was any data which recommended vax for covid 19. They are waiting till all the people are vaxxed to get their data. By then it will be too late.

Local papers across America cut and paste and regurgitate press releases from the Left, themselves doing zero investigation of the topic and zero checking for other’s expertise or others’ points of view on controversial topics...or any topics.
Here’s the second article from that same issue of the Times Union, (New York State Albany area publication). Hospital nurses who refused the vaccine are being labelled “incompetent” and the newspaper regurgitates the accusation that was obviously chosen to punish and harm the nurses and keep public opinion with the party line.

2 1/2 tubes is too much, 100kg is equal to 220 lbs and the horse paste dose would be 4-5 notches (each notch equals 50lbs and contains 4.48mg/notch of IVM (112mg/25notches). So a 5 day treatment would be 1 tube (25 notches/tube) of horse paste.

I think you might be using an older protocol. The latest FLCCC protocol I saw calls for 0-4 - 0.6 mg/ kg dose.
Call it 0.5 mg/kg. Thus a 100 kg individual would need 50 mg daily or 250 mg total over 5 days.
If one tube = 112mg of IVM, you need about 2 1/2 tubes for 5 days.
IT IS PROVEN IN INDIA.
