It’s disingenuous to use 2020 figures and apply them to “normal” operations. But then again, it’s MSN.
I suppose you could say the same for the 2009 numbers for Obama. But I did say that COVID skewed Trump's figures and without it his numbers would be a lot better in a number of categories.

Attempting to find praise from the MSM is like a wife attempting to get praise from an abusive husband. It shows the person is subservient to that person or institution and considers what they say the authority.

His economic plans lead to a pretty weak recovery. One needs to look at the context of all this stuff. There are plenty of examples of recovery from the past.
While I was no fan of Trumps handling of the pandemic (he had a Churchill moment, and he spent too much time making it about “Trump), I am not sure how anything could have been done differently. And the ONLY comparison. Is how we did in 1918-22. Of course there was a little war going on then as well.
History researchers will be looking at this stuff for the next century.

It’s clear that they are acting as if covid was not even a factor, with no before and after breakdown. Unemployment statistics are worthless without a timeline.

Major crime was down, but murders were up. And where did
those murders take place. Who committed them? What had
they been seeing in the media, “Trump is a racist.”
The comments about Trump had very bad impact in certain
neighborhoods.
In the crime area, they reported out the drops in most
crimes dutifully, but then the murders got the most
attention. Why? Because they thought it reflected
poorly on Trump. It didn’t matter who, what, when,
where, or why. It was on Trump’s watch. How could
he????
