The science fiction story The Marching Morons by C.M.Kornbluth had to do with few highly intelligent people having children and many low IQ people having lots of children. Frederik Pohl criticized his friend’s story for being “bad science.” However, whatever got us here we are in that world today.
To protect the dumb people he car speedometers said 50-100-150 mph while cars were controlled by governors that actually only let them go 15 or 20 tops. And so on. Smart people had to tolerate and protect the dumb majority from harm.

I only started paying attention to the dumbing down of education around 20 years ago. At that time there was a high performing, predominately white high school that was destroying the state exams in comparison to every other high school in the county. The school board fixed that by cutting out a quarter of the district and replacing it was kids bused in from predominantly black neighborhoods. Test scores plummeted and problem solved.
The other incident was when the local newspaper did a story about school records showing most of the kids suspended for disciplinary problems were black. So they did away with suspension to hide that fact. Now the disruptors have free reign to wreak havoc in the classrooms.
