If you're really passionate about putting an end to minor sex trafficking, and you want to block abortion providers from notifying parents or police whenever a middle-aged man brings his 14-year-old "girlfriend" in for an abortion ... you might be a Democrat.
I can't stress enough that parent notification laws are the enemy of sex traffickers. And Dims routinely block parent notification laws.
Absolute madness.
Social engineering at it’s worst.
So what’s next, now that they have destroyed all parental bonds? “euthanasia” without telling the parents? They don’t find out until they get the bill?
Really, this has gone so far into the realm of the masochistic insane that I doubt it can be reversed. This is not just incremental. The left has now gone for the throat, and is trying to kill its prey.
It looks to me like the left has been very successful, and the American public, never known for its ability to think critically, has its head in the sand and doesn’t care to think about what’s going on.
Look for the mass exodus from Kalifornication to increase apace. There aren’t many parents of any stripe that would not see this as an unbelievable intrusion into family child rearing. Parents with children will be leaving by the trainloads. The consolation prize will be this butthole of a state will lose more house seats in the future. The only hint of a tiny silver lining in this whole satanic debacle.
That will change soon.
I posted before I saw your post. I hadn’t thought of that. I can only shake my head in disbelief and thank God I don’t live in California, and that my kids are grown up.
We are going to have Red States and Blue states become more pronounced. We will see greater migration based on this. As this happens the differences will become more pronounced. If it works this way it might save the country, Federalism will destroy it.
1. If you leave a state because of one law, maybe you should grow some backbone
2. If your child takes advantage of this law, your child already has issues
This is so much like Atlas Shrugged!!! :D
I live in Southern California - I have never seen so many for sale signs on so many homes in my neighborhood in the almost 30 years we’ve lived here.
Neighbors are departing for Texas, Idaho and Nevada - and taking their Trump signs with them.
This is a nice, safe suburban neighborhood far from the chaos of the large cities and the homeless are cleared out before they can set up a tent. Our parks are beautiful, clean and family-friendly.
What with taxes and regulation and the likes of Gavin Newsom in the office - and a Democrat super-majority in the state house, I can’t say I blame them.
There is no such thing as blue states, just states where democrats can cheat just enough to always win. And if you keep running away from blue states, every state will eventually be blue and you will have nowhere to run anymore.
They’re doing this in Washington State too.
And will they run away again when Texas, Idaho and Nevada turn blue? Where do you run once all 50 states are blue? Australia?
I'm going to leave NY and bring my reliable conservative vote to a Red state to help make it Redder. We do that my culling out the Rinos among the herd.
You are welcome here in East Tennessee
Yep, we have a caller on a morning local upstate NY talk show who moved to E. TN who calls every morning and says how much he loves it and why.
Yeah because Arizona proved that red states will never have democrats cheat.... oh wait.....
AZ isn't a Red state. Two Dem senators?
I’m in a blue state- Illinois. It’s not that far gone, YET. The problem is the big cities, in my case, Chicago, control what happens to the rest of us. Chicago politicians have the say-so as to what happens in Illinois.
GOP in this state is mostly RINOS. The cronyism is rampant.
