Podesta: Democrats risk losing Congress over $3.5T spending plan

Former White House Chief of Staff John Podesta on Wednesday sent memos to Democratic lawmakers telling them they risk losing their Senate and House majorities if they fail to reach an agreement on their reconciliation package, The New York Times reported.

“The historical trend makes it clear that Democrats will face severe headwinds next November,” Podesta said in his memo, which was sent to all Democratic lawmakers, according to The Times, “but nothing will guarantee a political reckoning faster than if the Democrats fail to pass anything.”

He warned progressives in the party that the $3.5 trillion reconciliation package price tag needs to be dialed back, saying that the bill will not be able to pass as currently constructed.

Democrats risk losing both the House and Senate if they DO pass their $3.5 Trillion bill.

Even the attempt to get this $3.5 trillion spending authorization passed is going to reflect badly on the report card of every Democrat who supports it, whether it passes or not.

The Democrat Socialists may have finally taken a bridge too far, and in passage, burned it behind themselves, leaving nowhere to retreat. This comes under the heading of some 100% of the woe in which they find themselves immersed is self-induced.

I think we have a RAT battle between the Clinton old guard and the CA radicals.
The old guard doesn’t know they have been kicked to the curb.

Podesta is crafty slime. Hopefully he will be ignored and the radicals will cause the vile democrats to have huge losses. Hopefully they will be replaced by rational, decent, effective people who will end the McConnell/McCarthy collusion.

Democrats risk losing both the House and Senate

The house without a doubt, thankfully we'll be done with Pelosi forever. As for the Senate, I do believe given the total collapse of everything Biden, the GOP will flip the Senate, they need only a 1 seat pick-up. Then, We will see if they can do the right thing to usher in a GOP win for the WH in 2024.

I wonder what the balance of seats with Dem vs. Rep incumbents up for reelection is this cycle. Have to check.

I have heard about Dems retiring or not running, typical when the writing is on the wall.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't. Glad I'm not a rat.

"Podesta: Democrats risk losing Congress over $3.5T spending plan"
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Patriots need to start electing Constitution savvy state lawmakers who will put a stop to unconstitutional federal taxing and spending, taxes that corrupt Congress cannot justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

The ultimate remedy for unconstitutionally big, alleged election-stealing, Democratic Party-pirated federal and state governments oppressing everybody under their boots...

Consider that all the states can effectively “secede” from the unconstitutionally big federal government by doing the following.

Patriots need to primary federal and state elected officials who don't send voters email ASAP that clearly promises to do the following.

Federal and state lawmakers need to promise in their emails to introduce resolutions no later than 100 days after start of new legislative sessions that proposes an amendment to the Constitution to the states, the amendment limited to repealing the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments.

Insights welcome.

Ok, just looked and R’s are defending 20 seats vs. 14 for Dems. But, you’re right. Biden’s lack of progress on the radical agenda will probably keep them home, and his general performance on Afghanistan, COVID, etc, may piss off middle-of-the-roaders.

Senate races are statewide, unlike House races, so if the Dominion/mail-in fix were bulletproof, they wouldn’t be jumping ship.

So the GOP retakes the Senate and House in the 2022 election …then what? I expect little if nothing. Even if the GOP has an absolute majority in both houses, the RINO leadership will be as feckless as ever and the sell outs like Romney will still try to get along with the Democrats. Impeaching Biden could be high on the list of things to do, however, I’m not sure Biden will make it until 2022 and he may be forced to resign as his dementia becomes so obvious his handlers and the press can no longer cover for him. President Harris will be joke and even Democrats won’t be able to work with her. The only bright side will be the express train to socialism we are now riding will be slowed, but I doubt derailed.
