Law enforcement officials with the state of Texas appear to have taken control of the situation in Del Rio, Texas, after the Biden administration repeatedly failed to stop tens of thousands of migrants from illegally entering the United States.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is in full force along the border around the Del Rio area,” Governor Greg Abbott said in a tweet that featured a picture showing scores of law enforcement vehicles that had descended on the area. “They have built a barricade with their squad cars and State Troopers. The National Guard is working with them to secure the border.”
Beto?
I think I’d not go there. . .
Please see Post 60.
And constitutionally permitted. . .see post 60
I think most state constitutions say something similar.
The Massachusetts Constitution became effective in 1780.
The US Constitution became effective in 1789. I haven’t checked but I would imagine all the Colonies became States around the same time and before there was a US Constitution that created fedgov.
We had constitutional states before there was a US. The states, which were each sovereign, created fedgov for a few narrow purposes.
The way it’s supposed to be, all states are supposed to be sovereign yet united. Not united under fedgov. Fedgov is supposed to be under the states as it was a creation of the states. The states were a creation of the People.
People > States > Fedgov
People at the top, fedgov at the bottom. Things have gotten flipped because the People allowed it to get that way.
God could be added to that. God created People. People created the States. States created fedgov.
It could be fixed but we have to start with the People, then local/State, then fedgov.
Need to renew that knowledge in the same order as their creation.
That’s why things like the Precinct Project are worthwhile. Same with city council, school board, mayor etc and on up to county and state politics. Once we have control of our states, at least the red ones, then we can fix fedgov or simply not comply with unconstitutional edicts, which is most federal laws and agencies.
Is the existance of the fbi/cia/nsa/fda/epa/irs/usda written in any constitution?
Abbott should call up civilians militias for duty.
Better than Gavin Newsome anyway.
Anyway and Anyday, 24/7!
We do have a border with Illinois after all
Why doesn’t the Governor order a very obvious mining of the bridge from the Texas side, warning the illegals that it’ll soon be a “Bridge Too Far” for ‘em?
He might be but he DID something about this invasion. I’ll take it.
Furthermore, since most of those migrants stayed under the bridge, it doesn’t really matter whether or not he waited a few days or not: they weren’t going anywhere.
At least Governor Abbott is ACTING, even in the face of the federal government’s threats and considerable resources.
Texas already has a good amount of fencing and governor Abbott has been putting up additional fencing.
This is not the only thing being done, but here is an example - https://www.texastribune.org/2021/09/16/texas-mexico-border-wall-contract/.
It looks like more of a spillway than a dam to me.
And you are not only an extremely extreme extremist, but you are rude too.
Would you rather have Nancy Pelosi?
> God Bless Them!
Amen
or maybe something like a wall,
this would not be a problem...
Is that even possible?
+1
Blow the bridge.
The military would ensure their safe passage, if anything. They’re not on our side anymore. All the good ones were/are being purged and replaced with SJWs and trannies and the like.
We are the well-regulated militia and we are necessary to the security of a Free State.
When the perps step off that bridge they are ON TEXAS LAND !!!
