The National Institutes of Health said it was reviewing the removal of genetic data about the Covid-19 virus from an agency-run archive after a scientist raised concerns about the episode earlier this summer.
The data—a series of gene sequences from coronavirus samples obtained from Covid-19 patients in Wuhan in January and February 2020—could hold clues about the origin of the pandemic. The sequences were deleted from the Sequence Read Archive (SRA) last year at the request of one of the Wuhan University researchers who had originally provided them—a move that three Republican U.S. senators questioned in June in a sternly worded letter to NIH Director Francis Collins.

3. The Chinese researchers requested the data be deleted in June 2020 from NIH’s Sequence Read Archive because they had updated the information and planned to post it in another unspecified database, according to the publication.
4. Three Republican senators in June pushed for a review into deleted data. In a Sept. 8 reply to the senators, NIH Director Francis Collins said a review was underway to determine “whether appropriate steps were taken to assess this withdrawal request.”
5. NIH told the Journal that the review has been completed and that NIH leaders are reviewing the findings to decide whether policy changes are needed, according to the report.

The Chinese Researchers asked for it so they did it?
why would this information need to be deleted? If was going to be updated to a different database, you keep a copy until you don’t need it. You do not delete it 1st.
This support the theory that this was a US Government funded gain of function experiment that got out of control. The only reasonable explanation is the project left a digital foot print that needed to be covered up.

It was an accident. We inadvertently deleted 2 decades of research on SARS-CoV-2. Darn!
Removing them is orders from China.

Every single thing about the Wuhan Virus is either secret, or a lie. EVERYTHING! As part of that “bargain,” hundreds of thousands have died snd the economy has suffered a series of severe setbacks - which themselves have forced tens to hundreds of thousands of businesses into bankruptcy.
In a country with more guts, many people would have been put up against a wall and shot.
