The people of Wyoming deserve leaders who reflect their views and values. As a fourth generation Wyomingite who learned the importance of hard work, integrity, and loyalty on my family’s ranch near Fort Laramie, I know what’s in the heart of our great state. And I also know that our current representative in Congress, Liz Cheney, has turned her back on us in favor of her own personal war with former President Donald Trump. For these reasons, and many more, I have declared my candidacy and am challenging Cheney in the 2022 Republican primary for Wyoming’s lone House seat.
Over my career as an attorney, I have fought to protect Wyoming against runaway government, to protect property rights, and to protect water rights. Having defeated the Clinton administration in a battle over access to forest lands involving the illegal Roadless Rule, I was once referred to as one of the “fiercest and most effective opponents” that administration ever had. And I’ve taken on the Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture to oppose mandates and usurpation of the rights of farmers and ranchers. These are enormous issues that Wyomingites know well, and they know that I have been their champion.
Just like I spent countless hours and all of my energy fighting federal agencies in court, I will fight just as hard for Wyoming in Congress. We need a leader who will tirelessly oppose the disastrous policies of resident Joe Biden, and I will go to Washington to cut wasteful spending, end the regulatory state, demand election integrity reforms, and eliminate harmful policies like Critical Race Theory.
Like most people in our state, I previously supported Cheney when she ran for office and even agreed to introduce her at our state Republican convention five years ago. But when she launched her crusade against President Trump, she revealed herself to be completely different from the person we sent to Washington, D.C. as our elected representative. When she embraced Nancy Pelosi’s partisan impeachment of Trump, she betrayed our nation, she betrayed Wyoming, and she betrayed me.
When Cheney voted to impeach Trump, it was the culmination of behavior that had begun well before Election Day 2020. For example, she heartily joined in the liberal assaults on Trump over a New York Times story that used anonymous sourcing to allege that Russia was paying bounties to militants for attacking our soldiers in Afghanistan. We now know that the Times story was baseless, but we learned that Cheney’s instinct was to attack Trump first and care about the truth and her constituents’ concerns second.
President Trump won Wyoming by larger margins than in any other state, going from 68 percent in 2016 to 70 percent in 2020, because his policies were the best for our state. I am grateful and proud to have received his endorsement in this race, and I will work hard every day to prove that I am worthy of that support and the votes of every citizen of Wyoming. Liz Cheney, in contrast, disregarded the sentiments of the very same people who elected her when she decided to cast her lot with Pelosi and the Democrats.
Because of her anti-Trump histrionics, Cheney became a darling of the corporate media and they used her as a weapon in their arsenal leading up to the 2020 election. As a result, she enabled the Biden administration and bears responsibility for the various calamities he has caused.
Every time Wyomingites see resident Biden fail us and harm the interests of our nation and our state, they have Liz Cheney to thank. There’s so much: the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, the crisis at the southern border, the resurgent coronavirus pandemic, the sagging economy. And then there’s Biden’s all-out assault on our energy industry, which we count on for thousands of good jobs for our families and revenue for our schools. Biden has been a disaster for Wyoming and Liz Cheney paved his way.
I have fought for and defended the people of Wyoming for all of my adult life. The hardworking men and women of Wyoming deserve a leader who shares their views and will not bow down to the pressures of the liberal left as soon as the road gets a little rough.
Liz Cheney says that she regrets voting for President Trump in 2020. Well, that’s quite a coincidence, because most Wyomingites now say the same thing about her. Thankfully, there is now an alternative, and I will spend the next year asking our citizens for their support.
It doesn’t speak well of most Wyomans that they’d elect such a POS RINO like Cheney.
I don't think she voted for him. She's so full of it.
Parasites(sh tlib shysters/illegals)from Californication moving east?
This is way beyond a personal war. It is class war, nihilistic RINOs vs anyone who is worth a shit.
Still a seven person race for the primary, isn’t it?
Look people. The primary is Aug. 16-next year. That’s 11 months away. Do we need to get worked up about the excrement in our party this far ahead? We have bigger fish to fry. If she finds a way to end up on the ballot the hard core amongst us can vote for the democrat and concentrate on the other 434 seats. I think we’ll retake the house no matter what happens in Wy.
Biden will make Liz Cheney Ambassador to Afghanistan.
Note - Harriet Hageman is the candidate endorsed by Trump, not one of the disrupters remaining in the race after the endorsement.

Our biggest issue is with our own elected officials. Starting early next year-Trump names names and asks for challengers to specific incumbents. We need a leader and they have to be the bad guy when the situation calls for it. Gamble? Let the chips fall where they may.
The last I saw, it was Cheney, Hageman, plus "at least four." Seven might be right. It might be six. Hopefully a few of those will struggle to get even their mother's votes
“I don’t think she voted for him. She’s so full of it.”
I can’t say that I know for sure, but I think her hormone imbalance didn’t start until Trump contested the 2020 election. Apparently she was pretty healthy prior.
To be sure, like McCains and the Clintons and Bush Klan and Romney and Ryan the Cheneys want to steal every dime from America they can.NEver forget the Keating 5 scandal it was just a sample of future corruption to lay the foundation of stealing from everyone.
You again?
When Trump run in 2015/16 GOP Presidential primaries how many candidates were there altogether? 18,19?
Didn't stop President Trump from clobbering them did it?
I don't care if there are a 100 candidates Liz Cheney will still lose. Thatd what counts.
Yes, me again.
When Trump run in 2015/16 GOP Presidential primaries how many candidates were there altogether? 18,19?
How many primaries and caucuses were there? Fifty? Fifty five? This is a one time winner takes all primary where all Cheney needs is a plurality and not a majority. Spreading the vote among seven people only helps her.
What makes this an even more important factoid is that same 2% swing or so was repeated in nearly every state without shazam! morning after massive mail-in ballot drops. Florida, Iowa and Ohio among the swing states. Wyoming among the Trump states. Illinois among the Biden states.
Remarkably, the biggest swing nationwide was in Utah, where Trump won by 14.4% more in 2020 vs. 2016. Even more remarkable is the Utah uses mostly mail in voting, but they've been doing it long enough and fair enough to ensure its integrity.
Some have dropped out after DJT endorsement.
The rest need to.
State Senators Anthony Bouchard and Chuck Grey are the only other real contenders left...the others are vanity runs of no consequence.
My guess is Grey will do the right thing and end his campaign, but Bouchard is a loon and will likely stay in.
A close three way primary race is Cheney’s best shot at holding onto her seat.
Even the fringe candidates can take one or two percent of the vote. That only helps Cheney.
