After former President Donald Trump endorsed Wyoming attorney Harriet Hageman’s primary challenge against his top congressional Republican nemesis Rep. Liz Cheney, the rest of the candidates in the crowded primary field faced immediate pressure to end their campaigns and back his pick.
But while two candidates have dropped out in light of the endorsement, at least four Cheney challengers say that they intend to stay in the race.
The former president had long urged “JUST ONE CANDIDATE” to run against Cheney. The risk if candidates stay in the race is that the anti-Cheney field could split the vote , and Cheney could win the primary with only a plurality, all but cementing her reelection in the reliably Republican state.
That worry prompted a question to candidates at a June forum about whether they would drop out of the race if they did not lead the anti-Cheney field come May 2022, when candidates can file with the state to declare their candidacy for the Aug. 16 primary.

Trump’s endorsements are of interest to me, yet they don’t determine who I vote for. I have seen attacks against Trump’s endorsement in the Wyoming race. My first thought is, who benefits from the negative press. The second thought is, what’s the other side of the story. There is so much bad information printed in the media.
This might be how you won primaries in the past, but it ain't gonna work this time. You traitors can run 100 challengers. It's different this time because there is only ONE Trump-endorsed challenger and WE THE PEOPLE who had our votes stolen by RINO-controlled legislatures who refused to enforce voter ID are MAD AS HELL, and we're coming for you in 2022!!
Unite behind the Trump-endorsed challenger for all GOP primaries. Do this and we will purge the RINO scum who gave the Steal to Potato Joe on a platter, all because of their petty hatred and jealousy of Trump.

I weigh his endorsements as follows:
1) Is he getting rid of the really bad stuff, as in Cheney?
2) If I don’t go with his endorsement, am I helping the really bad stuff, as in Cheney (again)?
I worry about purity after getting rid of the mold (and yeast, in her case).
Probably right.
Have to hope that the people are a red this time around.
Rather than worry about this, if the people and state legislature in Wyoming really wanted changes, they’d be demanding her resignation.
Start a statewide petition demanding she resign and never come back to Wyoming. Someone else can pack up her house and send that crap to DC.
If they are genuine conservatives they are stupid. There are plenty of stupid conservatives out there. Todd Akin is an example.
