A Maine musical theater was forced to cancel its fall schedule after refunding $36,000 worth of tickets in the days since announcing a COVID-19 vaccination policy, according to a report.
The Brunswick-based Maine State Music Theatre was buried in refund requests after saying on Friday that theater-goers would have to prove they’ve either been vaccinated or tested negative for the coronavirus, The Portland Press Herald reported.
“Not selling a ticket is bad,” artistic director Dale Clark told the newspaper. “Having to refund a ticket that you have already sold, that’s a lot worse.”
Clark blamed pushback against the new policy and “general concerns about the virus” for the refunds of hundreds of tickets.

It is heartening to see that critical thinking isn’t dead. If the “vaccinated” can spread covid as easily as the “unvaccinated,” then (to use the words of a certain harridan) what difference does it make whether you’ve had the jabs or not for purposes of preventing spread in public places?
Mask mandates will wind up killing the economy, especially smaller businesses, is that what they want? It’s certainly starting to appear that way.

We liked the local theaters when we lived there but it was mostly an older, more affluent crowd. Lots of quiet money up there IMO.

Good, hope they go bankrupt. Royal Caribbean pulled this, sold cruises with no vaccine requirement. Then in August they changed the game and don’t want to refund deposits.
The just need to Double Down and Require HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis Vaccination and Tests also
That's precisely the purpose of masking society and it has been incredibly effective.
Masking society is a powerful, persistent visual reminder that America is sick and we must obey every mandate or command issued by, well, just about anyone, especially by governors, unelected bureaucrats and their agencies (CDC; NIH; AMA; WHO, et al.) and, of course, "medical experts" who have been far more wrong than right.
Destroying the American economy (i.e., capitalism) is the second prong of the Democrat/Communist/Left Party's goal of destroying the American Republic, with neutering the U.S. Constitution as the other prong. ... And still irrationally frightened, irretrievably ignorant and unbelievably cowardly American "men" and women are going right along with it -- demanding it in some places -- even at the cost of their children's mental and physical health and their childhood because "better safe than sorry" and other such stuff.
This became a power struggle that didn’t need to happen.
The Vaccine policy was intrusive. People didn’t like having their HIPAA laws steamrolled just to see some play.
The people signaled to this theater that they were virtuous in FREEDOM!!!

I do suspect that this is all being done intentionally and by design for whatever nefarious purpose they are hoping to achieve. None of this makes any sense otherwise.
