New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo commuted the sentences of four people convicted of murder as one of his last acts as governor. The individuals all had second-degree murder convictions.
"The march towards a more fair, more just, more equitable, and more empathetic New York State is a long one, but every step forward we can take it [sic] worthwhile and important," Cuomo said in a press release. "These clemencies make clear the power of redemption, encourage those who have made mistakes to engage in meaningful rehabilitation, and show New Yorkers that we can work toward a better future. I thank all the volunteer attorneys representing clemency applicants for their dedication and service to justice."

Why?
Anyone who still supports the Democrats has a criminal heart.
Revenge, plain and simple.
Criminals are an important Democrat constituency.

Yea, I think that works for murderers too . . . he may have a use for them.

Wonder how the families of those murdered feel about Cuomo? There was a time in America when those family members could not rest until Cuomo was held accountable for these crimes.
Also: As many people who watch Law and Order have caught on, “second-degree murder” in New York is first-degree murder anywhere else. The first degree is reserved for political murder, such as assassinations and the murder of LEOs and judges. Goes back to when NYS allowed the death penalty in limited, special circumstances where the rule of law itself would be under attack.

These are “different times”, apparently. The Cuomo Organized Crime Family gets away with murder, literally.
Wow. Just wow. Cuomo said he “made mistakes” and spoke of the power of redemption. Mungo, however, never admitted he did anything wrong... even though he was convicted of two separate double murders.
He couldn’t resist, he HAD to thumb his nose at the law one last time!
The feeling of the power over life and death?
