What happened in Kabul was deliberate. In fact, I would argue it went far better than most leftists dreamed it would. Even they underestimated Joe's uncanny ability to make the absolute worst decision in practically every situation. Our kids' grandkids will be fighting the wars that result from this and will likely do it alone. Far from being a tragedy, our abandonment of Afghanistan was one of the left's biggest foreign policy successes.

Because TeamTrump had identified about 100k deserving Afghan patriots to evacuate [+ all the Americans, obviously]. But TeamBiden didn’t want a hundredK of patriotic, Trump-grateful, freedom fighting nationalists at the front of the line. So they scrapped the plan, knowing that chaos would ensue, and are now leaking the list of patriots such that the folks getting evacuation are the top of the heap of whiners, guvmint-dependent, “peaceful muzzie”, misunderstood, mediotic, elitist [bribe paying], future democraps. From their perspective this is a brilliant plan.

The Afghan FUBAR was a manufactured crisis to derail our attention from Biden’s screw up of the economy and his disastrous COVID policies.
We now return to our regularly scheduled programing of screwing up the economy and disastrous COVID policies to detract from Afghanistan.

Afghanistan was always ‘over there’. So was Viet Nam. I remember vividly President Ford pleading with congress for $75 million to aid the south. No guarantees but it was only money. Then there was Calif. Senator John Tunney leading the charge to deny the funding. Now think of Illinois senator John Durban at Abu Ghraib. In house discipline was the order of the day and he publicly humiliated our military when it was down. Makes me long for the days of Oliver North standing up to congress in his military uniform.

That could not possibly be an accident, as they claim. I am certain that any competent military officer and/or security chief at an embassy would assign at least two people with the direct responsibility of guarding and destroying if necessary this information.
Because the information and equipment was not destroyed the death toll will no doubt reach numbers in the thousands.
