My Marine buddy showed me a photo of him with a large number of bundles of US currency. He said his mission was to go hovel to hovel and hand them wads of cash. He estimated a couple of million dollars. This was supposed to jump start the Afghan economy. I asked if it worked. He said, “Nothing changed.”
On the lighter brighter side our top brass is pushing for fashion changes in the military... and there's no one there better to put on fashion shows than the team run by Lloyd Austin - and the 'diversity is the win' guys. Actually this whole thing is sad and certainly will embolden China and North Korea.
