WASHINGTON — A military base in Washington has been placed on lockdown after a report that an armed person was spotted on the base.
Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling posted a note on its Facebook page on Friday that the base was being placed on lockdown. The notice said the person was spotted on the south side of the base and that anyone who encounters the person should run and hide.
The Facebook notice said the "description of the individual" being sought "is a black male with a medium build carrying a Gucci Bag."

Military bases were the military is not allowed to have weapons. Great country we have.

Because DIA is on the base (and Anacostia host the Presidential Marine’s helicopter) it is kind of surprising.

The Presidential Marine’s helicopter was parked in my hangar for awhile. I had fun with the Marines guarding it. I asked them if they knew what AWOL stood for and got the classic response. I told them it really stood for after women or liquor. My female friend used to say after women on liquor. She was so fun to be with, lol.

Actually no one is allowed to have weapons on base except military police for the most part.
I worked onboard a naval air station for almost 31 years where random vehicle searches were randomly conducted frequently.....in that time I was NEVER pulled over and searched.....ever.
You can't be armed here!
