The head of the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) warned Thursday that the coronavirus virus will continue to mutate, and urged people to continue to get vaccinated.
Virologist Shi Zhengli told the South China Morning Post that the world will need to prepare to coexist with the virus as it continues to mutate and spread across the globe.
“As the number of infected cases has just become too big, this allowed the novel coronavirus more opportunities to mutate and select,” Shi said, according to the South China Morning Post. “New variants will continue to emerge.”
The delta variant has quickly become the dominant COVID-19 strain and is driving a surge in cases around the world. Scientists are also monitoring the lambda variant, which is becoming a prominent strain in South America.
In the U.S., for instance, the delta variant accounts for 75 to 80 percent of cases in the Midwest and upper mountain states as of July, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and reporting from Healthline.
In July, the CDC warned in an internal document that the delta variant could cause more severe illness and spread as easily as chickenpox, stating: “the war has changed.”
Michael Osterholmm, the director for the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, told Newsweek that “a delta on steroids” could also possibly emerge.
Shi and her role at the Wuhan Institute of Virology have been met with skepticism from many, particularly among Republican leaders in the U.S. A recent Republican-led investigation from the House Foreign Affairs Committee alleges that Shi, along with other researchers and officials associated with the lab, lied about the origins of COVID-19 and worked to cover up the leak of the virus and the research being done at the lab.
Shi has previously called similar rumors “baseless.”
They have several other prototypes in their refrigerator.
This begs the question of whether it’s time to nuke the institute. Really.
Of course that might release all the monster microbes they’re working on over there, with Fauci’s financial support of course. So I guess the nuclear option is out.
It’s coming, folks. And it could perhaps maybe might kill millions of people! So let’s bare those arms and get those shots, or jabs, depending which side of the pond you’re own (for my part I think shots are more effective, but that’s just me!). No time to lose!

Well, that’s how viruses work.
And mutation doesn’t necessarily mean more deadly. Usually they are less contagious and less virulent. Sometimes not.
Better yet this begs to ask the question when do we cancel the portion of the national debt we owe the CCP to make them pay for the economic damage they caused.

This is a 100% sure bet. My experience with veterinary coronaviruses is that they mutate with regularity and were a bane to the veterinary vaccine manufacturers that saw their vaccines become obsolete within two years after introduction. The cat is out of the bag and our generation is going to have to live with this malady for the rest of our lives. We’ve not got a good handle on the Orthomyxoviradae (Flu) and expect to control the Coronaviruses and Adenoviruses?

They have been rather busy there in the Wuhan laboratories, and who knows what they have come up with since November 2019. Not like they would be telegraphing their intentions or anything.

sure ... a new vaccination monthly for each new mutation ought to do the trick ...
except the “trick” is on us since the CDC director admitted yesterday that vaccination does not prevent infection nor transmission, thus vaccination would appear to provide very little protection to society as a whole ...
