Well at least now you know. All the airlines have gone down hill.
I don’t think Spirit airlines gets repeat customers. I’d rather ride a Peruvian chicken bus cross country then fly Ghetto, I mean Spirit, Airlines.
They probably can’t find enough UFC referees to oversee the fights.
Orlando.
They ran out of duct tape.
Not good for the airline industry also.
I am planning to go to Virginia in October for a family wedding. Driving it will be about 1,400 miles.
Leaning heavily toward driving.
Who is going to get those slots from Spirit ...
indeed, all the airlines have probably gone down but Spirit was the utter worst (actually winding up stealing our money while leaving us stranded, it doesn’t get too much worse than that unless, I suppose, they toss you out the ejection ramp at 30,000 feet?)
Orlando?
Spirit airlines: okay, all pilots must get the jab or get fired!
Pilots: see ya!

Yes, sounds like Orlando air travel has turned into a cluster. Thanks!
Only once have I experienced Spirit Airlines services.
I flew the red eye on A Saturday night from Vegas to Philly.
Only 3 words need be remembered….
Never Fly Spirit!
Agreed! A sh@tty airline and they took our money and kept it after canceling our flight. Crooked !
Unfortunately we don't arrive until the 10th. We will be in Bruges for 3 days and Brussels for 4. We would have like to stop in Ghent for the day when we leave Bruges for Brussels but because of terrorism fears there are no longer lockers at the train station to store luggage while you take a tour.
And if you are up to it, Joe, who own Delirium Café, also owns Floris Café across the street with over 400 types of absinthe...
We intend to make that a priority. I'm a big fan of Absinthe
You will love Bruges, City of Lace.
Take some time to walk around. There is a brewery there that makes an excellent clean tasting wheat beer, Blanc de Bruges.
When in Brussels, especially if you like Gueuze beer or sours, Le Cantionne brewery is old style small brewery. They only brew in the winter and pump the wort into big copper pans in the attic where the roof is vented for chilling.
I used to stay in a backpacker hotel right behind the EU Headquarters called Jacques Brel Hostel. My own room, clean, and cheap.
I haven’t been to Brussels for a few years but plan on returning soon. I stopped in Amsterdam last month... Love the Van Gogh / Munch Museum... but didn’t make the side trip to Brussels due to Covid flight restrictions back to USA.
Ps. The train transportation system is pretty good there.
They say everyone should go to Bruges once before they die. That’s why we’re going. We are staying at the Ibis Bruge Centrum, which is near the train station. We were originally supposed to spend 3 days in Brussels and 4 days in Bruge and we were supposed to go before the pandemic hit but my wife got sick and we had to cancel. We were going to stay at an Accor hotel in the main square of Brussels that is right where the Smurf statue is but instead we are staying at a place called the Vintage Hotel, 5 minutes away from the main square. That is why we can afford 4 days in Brussels this time. They also said that Bruges was too small to spend 4 days in so we changed our plans this time around. Any more travel tips will be most welcome.
Beware...
The last few times I visited Brussels the immigrant population was skyrocketing. Many places were unsafe.
I even had several locals warn me not to carry a shoulder bag as thieves would cut the strap with a razor, grab and run. (My bag has coated braided stainless steel cables sewn in the strap)
Be street smart, especially in the crowded train stations.
It's like that all throughout Europe's major tourist destinations. Barcelona is called the pickpocket capital of Europe. I wouldn't even think about going to Paris anymore.
I was in Paris last month...
My first time there was in 2005. It has really changed. So have all the satellite towns around Paris.
