Ring the alarm: it's time for US schools to have climate disaster drills
The Hill ^ | 08/03/2021 | JOSHUA DEVINCENZO AND DAVID MAZZUCA

Posted on 08/03/2021 1:16:59 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

With the Atlantic hurricane season upon us, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is forecasting that 2021 will be an above-normal hurricane season. It seems each year climatic hazards — most acutely hurricanes here in the United States — are becoming more intense and more destructive. Yet, our systemic responses to such hazards have evolved little.

The federal government traditionally funds programs pre-disaster to mitigate the effects of hazards and post-disaster to assist communities to recover and rebuild. While funding vehicles may operate under different names and emphasize resilience more today than a decade ago, little attention is paid beyond physical infrastructure improvements or restoration — public or private. This is unfortunate as disaster management is more than government response and recovery. It is inclusive of a broader appreciation of disaster risk among the general public. Through a disaster risk reduction education campaign, such an appreciation can be achieved.

My Gawd. They want the kids to live in a heightened state of anxiety and fear. A feeling of dread and doom. They are sick.

At the very least, all kids should have helmets and body armor in their lockers for quick access. Do it for “the children”

It is time for separation of school and state.

THAT is what it is time for.

"It seems..."
What an awesomely scientifical article this is! Every year NOAA predicts a coming heavy hurricane season. But every month, they "adjust" their prediction downward as the number and intensity of the hurricanes disappoints them.

At the end of hurricane season, their monthly adjustments are complete, and their "prediction" exactly matches the result. Because they're very good at what they do.

How better to teach kids to be afraid of something the left needs them to be afraid of?

See my tag line, which I recently got from another thread about a scientifical statement a month or so ago.

Here’s an idea:

When any rat politician speaks of climate change, or any rat propaganda organ spews about it, all school age children must drop and roll under their desks and then cover their ears till its safe to come back out.

US Hurricanes Down 30% Since The 1880’s
Posted on May 4, 2018 by tonyheller

The number of hurricanes hitting the US is down from nearly 2.5 hurricanes per year in the 1880’s to just over 1.5 hurricanes per year now.

The number of US major hurricanes (Category 3-5) peaked in the 1950’s at one per year, and is now at a record low.

We didn’t have drills like that in the 50s in upstate NY. I guess nobody thought were worth hitting, being white extremist hicks and all.
