Tyson Foods Inc said on Tuesday it was mandating COVID-19 vaccinations for its entire workforce, joining a growing list of major U.S. companies as they face renewed pandemic restrictions due to the fast-spreading Delta variant. Surging COVID-19 cases and new guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that requires fully-vaccinated individuals to wear masks have led many companies to rethink their plans. Many of corporate America's biggest names have taken action following the CDC's guidance, including mask mandates from McDonald's Corp, Apple Inc and vaccination requirements by Walmart and Walt Disney. U.S. officials said on Monday COVID-19 cases, along with hospitalizations and deaths from the virus, have increased in the last week, even as vaccination rates have seen a pick up amid concern over the highly contagious Delta variant. The CDC said there were about 72,000 new COVID-19 cases per day in the United States as of Saturday, a 44% increase over the previous week and higher than the peak set in the summer of 2020. Tyson said on Tuesday its employees at U.S. office locations should be fully vaccinated by Oct. 1, while other locations have until November. It added that nearly half its U.S. workforce were vaccinated. Labor unions and meat companies have been pushing states to increase the pace of vaccine rollout in the food sector to protect workers and avoid supply-chain disruptions from COVID-19 outbreaks, such as closures of slaughterhouses last year.

I would say the employers mandating this have assumed the role and responsibilities of “ informed consent’’ since it is being denied to their employees. I also say they should be held liable for every death and adverse outcome among their vaccinated ( loose term) herd of emplyees.

What next for Tyson? Will they mandate legal status for their workers?
There is something very nefarious about those shots. No way they “care” if we live or die from covid. If they cared they would not be introducing 1.5 million sick illegals here.

If employees wear masks, the company can’t be sued by an employee’s lawyer for Covid contracted elsewhere but blamed on the company
LOL my wife’s sister lives close to a Tyson chicken plant in SW Missouri. First the Mexicans displaced all the hilljacks in there. Then Somalis displaced all the Mexicans.
So you got these little towns in the boondocks with signs in Spanish and Arabic.

I haven’t bought anything Tyson in years simply because they’re too big and they hire a lot of illegals. Corporate competition is a good thing but American workers having to compete with illegals is not. It’s not like Tyson can’t afford American workers.
I avoid walmart because they’re basically a conglomerate. I don’t buy from amazon anymore because they’re too big. If I have to pay a little more for some things or drive a little ways to get outside of this anything-other-than-walmart desert, so be it.
Walmart is 20 miles away. Alternatives are 60 miles away.
I also try to avoid Dollar General. I don’t do Smithfield either. Our little independent grocery store carries alternatives to Tyson/Smithfield luckily so that’s where I buy meat.
I am considering the Amish life. Looking better all the time.

Here’s the thing about Tyson, though — given their abbatoirs are 99.999999999999% 3rd wavers, and a fair chunk of those without papers, why not order that vaccination before Delta?!
Because theres no such thing as the Delta variant. If you cant test for it, how the hell can you tell it exists, or that you have it? When I was a kid my older brother used to scare us younger kids all the time. When we got hip to his tactics and he couldn’t scare us anymore, he would beat us up. Fauci reminds nds me of my brother with his pathetic threats of more and more consequenses. No one is scared of the regular COVID, so all the sudden there the Delta variant . Then there will be the Omega variant, then another Greek or Latin varient that sounds scary.
