Breaking News: New York will require proof of vaccination for indoor dining and gyms, Mayor Bill de Blasio plans to announce. It’s believed to be the first U.S. city to do so.
Add this to reason number “X” why I will not be visiting NYC at time in the near future.
That will boost tourism.
As if I need another reason not to set foot in NYC!
If this is legal this whole state is next
WATCH: New York Gov. Cuomo is asking private businesses to require proof of vaccination for admission
City wide mask mandate vaxx & non vaxx coming soon..
New York hospitals have have more than a year to prepare for any “surge.”
There is no justification for these restrictions.
What about those who have already had COVID and have natural immunity?
CoupFlu has NEVER been about public health.
So science has nothing to do with this.
This will spawn a huge black market in phoney vax id cards.
My guess is the restaurant owners will pay lip service to this nonsense but mostly ignore it. There are nowhere nesr enough inspectors to check even the tiniest fraction of eaterys in NYC.
Moronic private business says they try to exclude the smartest and brightest people (probably half of the population ) from their businesses will soon find it hurts their bottom line very seriously
On another note New York City is a complete utter communist hellhole has always been and always will be and they get everything they deserve from the likes of Bill Deblasio
They are the forgotten, ignored, and inconvenient non-existent
It isn't legal, but the whole state will be next anyway.
Finally, sonething the constantly fueding mayor of NYC and governor of NY can agree on.
After 2 yrs of no business this will go over well. Where are the yellow stars?
Deblasio just banned 70% of Blacks and 60% of Hispanics from NYC restaurants.
This may not be against the law in how it is written, but it is nothing short of blackmail.
It would not be a HIPAA violation for an employer to ask an employee’s healthcare provider for proof of vaccination. It would however be a HIPAA violation for the employee’s healthcare provider to disclose that information to the employer unless the individual had provided authorization to do so. So if the only way to get the information is to force the employee to make it available through their provider, so they can make money to eat and house themselves and their families, then that’s the blackmail part.
Transparent it is. Morale and ethical it isn’t. DNC: Damn notorious crooks.
Note to small biz: This is what you get for not banding together and fighting.
Here we go. Vaccine passports in some form are now taking hold. It could well go nationwide.
And my rhetorical question is, why do we have to be able to prove we don’t have Covid? Why don’t we have to prove we don’t have AIDS, or cancer, or any other medical condition?
Obviously racist based on a theory of disparate impact, given the very low participation rate among african-americans in this dubious vexation program.
