If anyone in the Capitol building was on surveillance destroying or damaging property ,then yes charges should be filed related to that. Otherwise it’s all nonsense! The good Senator did not mention Ashli Babbitt at all , now did he?????
They should be arrested if they did those things, but are they supposed to be tortured for it? Most of them didn’t do those things. Calling it an insurrection is over the top too. And does that mean the guy who killed Ashli Babbitt -the only one killed, going to be punished? Probably not.
Yes, but, search for "Jan 6 capitol damage" and look at the pictures. There's very, very little damage visible. There's a couple of broken mirrors, some sort of furniture overturned and possibly damaged. No damage to the statues that I can see. No damage to the paintings that I can see. No damage to the marble floors that I can see. I see no evidence that a fire was started.
