Now, and all along, the correct measurement is Excess Deaths.
20-25% more 65+ year olds died last year of all causes than in a typical year. About 20% of those were the official Covid count, which undoubtedly had some rare errors in it. In fact, since the number is 25% excess deaths, there was likely undercounting of Covid deaths.
And no, don’t stand up and wave your hands about flu deaths disappearing. They would be in the typical year numbers. We still were 25% higher last year.
