Not sure if the video I saw had all of his comments...Maybe Gates actually did say he stopped Trump—I just took the title as one of those attention getters—taking liberty with words as many bloggers and writers do.
In the actual video, Gates did not say that he stopped Trump from investigating vaccines.” Shocking how smug the gossip is in the video—trying to make Trump look bad—he was not the kindly philanthropist of his public image. You are correct about him having a big ego!
In video, Gates did say that when Trump informed him he was thinking about a commission to investigate vaccines and their ill effects, he said, “No that’s a dead end, that would be a bad thing, don’t do that.”
Again, at that time Trump was trying to work with tech companies—Remember the American Tech Council meetings at the White House in Spring of 2017? Trump wanted to bring in technology to innovate VA, etc...
Oh how things changed over 3 years regarding tech working with him...
And tho I might need a new roll of foil, I don’t think it is too much of a stretch to believe Gates and Fauci were working together on the vaccine stuff in ways that did not help Trump—maybe even before Covid—didn’t Fauci and Gates both say we would be facing pandemics? Didn’t Fauci say Trump might face one? Eh I could be misremembering. It is late and so much current crap going on to keep track of.

DJT I am sure had a good reason for whatever he decided, and I doubt it was because Gates said don't do it.
And I take anything Bill Gates claims with a huge grain of salt and he'd need a few CREDIBLE corroborating witnesses to even consider accepting half of what he claims.
