A couple of weeks ago, in a lengthy piece at the Weekly Dish, Andrew Sullivan lamented about the “radicalization of the American elite against liberalism.” While this appears so to Sullivan’s eyes, this radicalization doesn’t much involve conversions. It’s not as if card-carrying liberals suddenly became card-carrying leftists of varying stripes. Fellow travelers and quislings there are, but that’s always the case with movements.
Sullivan does point out that conservatives haven’t radicalized; they’ve pretty much been anchored to the same center-right beliefs and values for a generation or more.
An astonished Sullivan penned this:

Why does Sullivan’s angst matter, regardless how he misconstrues the cause?

They are today exactly who I thought they were twenty years ago. If Sullivan didn’t see their snarling hatred of America and Americans back then then he isn’t as bright as he thinks he is.

GOP voters will never radicalize in defense of liberty. In fact we’re getting ready to reelect assistant Democrats in 2022 like Rubio and Murkowski just months after they disenfranchised us.

The suburban women I know who were raised democrat and therefore somehow believe we all will be saintly if we spend others’ money on the needy who have never been vetted- these women are starting to ask questions.

I hate agreeing with Andrew Sullivan.
How true but it’s the few on that side that creates their implosion.
We can only stand up and fight until it occurs.
