Geologist Dr. Roger Higgs (DPhil, Oxford, Geology, of geoclastica.com) has just released a new takedown of the anthropogenic global warming scam. Below is a summation of his findings–which you can find in full over at ResearchGate (Technical Note 2021-5).
In what Dr Higgs calls yet another manipulation of the data, in early 2021, NASA discreetly lowered the 2016 global average temperature –previously the highest on record– to make the year 2020 seem like the hottest.
NASA play these ‘games of adjustment’ all the time, and each and every time, without fail, their tweaks support the man-made global warming narrative.
Below are copies of NASA’s 1880-2020 global temperature chart ‘before & after’ their most recent “adjustment”
This is a subtle change, but one crucial to maintaining the AGW narrative.
By reducing 2016’s annual temperature, government bodies have taken control of reality — they are able to fool the unquestioning masses into believing global average temperatures are linearly increasing and have increased since 2016, when the very opposite is true.
In actual reality –where those that apply critical thinking and logic reside– Earth’s temperature has dropped by approx. 0.7C since 2016 — this plunge is best reflected in datasets which aren’t subject to government data-fudging adjustments, such as the UAH satellite, which is maintained by former NASA scientist Dr. Roy Spencer:

I suspect that there are temperature reading “adjustments” that are sneaked in locally. I’ve noticed winter daily low reports a few degrees above freezing when there has been solid ice outside.
I think it was like this towards the end of the Roman Republic right before it became the Roman Empire at the crossing of the Rubicon river.
I wonder if there’s some kind of website we can report that kind of activity to?

Temperatures on land vary on a very small scale depending on things like the amount of shade, the reflectivity of the surface materials, local airflow patterns, the amount of moisture in the soil, and dozens of other factors. There is no reason to suppose that a single thermometer at some chosen location represents the average temperature of the area around it to a high precision. When the entire effect you are trying to study is smaller than the "adjustments" you make to the data then you really don't have much data, if any at all.
This has been the coolest summer in TX that I can remember. Normally, the temp would be in the triple digits but it’s in the 70s.
Guess that’s why they’ve had to change “global warming” to “climate change”. TX had the big freeze this winter and now a cool summer so no global warming here.
Another corrupt fedgov agency.
“Hide the decline.”
Geologically we are in an interglacial, but still an ice age. The problem is we have too much cold deepwater formation for the earth to warm much. There's always fresh 32F water being created in the north Atlantic and southern ocean surrounding Antarctica. If anything there's a litle less deepwater formation in the south because sea ice cover is so extensive. Reduction of that sea ice will cool the planet even more and result in more snowfall on the Antarctic continent.
Did you know the “Climate Crisis” allows the EPA to tax folks, without calling it a tax?
The government basically has created an artificial market, complete with supply and demand, brokerage firms and all!
https://www.epa.gov/airmarkets/allowance-markets
And that is where you take an imaginary threat and convert it into tangible and real cash. But guess who pays for that?
This of course makes cars, electricity and EVERYTHING else more expensive, because we build in a “nontax” in the supply chain but the customer doesn’t see an additional line on his earning statement or from the IRS calling it a tax. You see, as long as public don’t really understand, it’s OK.
The climate crisis is a not the sort of “green agenda” the kiddoes protesting to save the whales think it is.
Everyone wants to be nice up until it costs them.
If you can make it to where the average American does not see the cost, does not realize that money is being pulled from his pocket, they will support it.
If I would ask 1,000 people if they want to donate $600 on a new car purchase for carbon offsets on a pickup truck, take a guess what MOST would say?
Socialists are always the same. They think they are smarter than the consumer himself, they are smarter than a market, and that the consumer as well as market needs steered by them. Only they know what people actually need. Of course they always make sure to carve out a little to pay themselves.
Years ago I posted several replies to different threads in which I linked to some publication that was pushing this change in identity.
It was during Zer0’s admin. and it stated that “climate change” didn’t convey the necessary urgency, hence the adoption of “crisis” and, I believe, “emergency”.
FR’s stone age search capabilities makes it too bothersome for me to find those replies and links.
This has all been planned out for a long time, but the leadership of this nation, both R and D, whether by ignorance or design, refuses to address it for what it is....the distruction of the USA.
Bkmk
Well,
Those making a fortune off this wouldn’t think it’s the destruction of the US, may it be in the private sector colluding with government, government that gets to grow, or politicians that whore/promote themselves using the tax payers money.
It’s just the rest of us farm animals that get to experience the not so nice face of this animal farm.
BTW, soon you will have the privilege to buy all new refrigerants again. The government has decided for you (as in the 90s)... Do you think the insurance companies opposed Obama care? Do you think GE opposed that moron energy bill under George W? Does Tesla oppose offsets and subsidies? Do Dupont and Honeywell oppose rules mandating the purchase of new refrigerants? Today government is used to subsidize, control competition, reduce risk exposure, mandate the purchase of products... Big business in America has learned that government with ~43% of the GDP, the power to make rules, and with the guns to enforce them, is the way you can make a lot of “green.”
Competing on a market means you need to convince every individual to buy a product or service. Buying politicians means you only need to buy a handful - look at China and how they are approaching it as an example.
