The number of serious coronavirus cases in Israel has risen by almost 50 percent since last week, Health Ministry data released on Sunday showed, as the delta variant continues to spread across the country.
According to the Health Ministry, 326 new COVID cases were diagnosed on Friday and 185 on Saturday, with the number of serious cases currently standing at 35 – 11 more than the number reported last Sunday. Within this group, 17 are in critical condition and 16 are on ventilators.
Fourteen of the 35 cases defined as serious have received two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine.

The figures show that between May 2 and June 5, the vaccine had a 94.3% efficacy rate. From June 6, five days after the government canceled coronavirus restrictions, until early July, the rate plunged to 64%. A similar decline was recorded in protection against coronavirus symptoms, the report said.

There are other factors besides the vaccines' effectiveness in play here. Israel is suffering a bit from its own success, possibly, because people have wanted so desperately to get back to normal.
We all know that the vaccinated can get infected. It might not be the vaccine's margin of error at fault here, not entirely, especially since previous research has shown otherwise.
I was referring to comments 71 and 72, where it is mentioned and emphasized that “only” 1% will die.
In the context of the rapid increase of cases due to the delta variant, that is quite a bit more people than if delta were not raging.

It’s easy to sit on a forum and spout off nonsense.
I have found that none want to in person. They can’t stand up to truth. One guy a while back really got into with me about masks and I wasn’t wearing one. He got so fired up, he wanted to throw down, so I quickly agreed and started to walk outside ( of a McDees) and the guy who had 3 inches on my 6’2 and at least 30 lbs heavier didn’t come out. They’re all cowards and useless eaters. My patience is barely in check these days. Not one day passes where I can’t picture my brothers who didn’t make it home from overseas, and my anger festers.
Thank God for his grace or I wouldn’t make it a day without smacking fools all over.

I was surprised to learn it's included included in the annual seasonal flu vaccines. I suspect the COVID variants will be, too.

There is no way on God’s green earth I would take the covid-19 vax. Not until at least 2 full years of data on side effects is available. Look up the history of vaccinations, and how many fail. Hint: most of them, due to side effects. Look up “Narcolepsy + vaccine + Europe” for a fun time seeing what can happen when insufficient testing doesn’t stop a mad dash vax effort.
