They can’t and they won’t. If you live in a house with someone who has some bizarre view, they will make you support their view even if it destroys both of you. If you don’t actively support their view, it calls into question whether their view is real. That calls their existence into question. They WILL MAKE you parrot their view or they will kill you. To them it’s a matter of survival. It is desperately necessary that you support their view.
A friend was living with a girlfriend who talked constantly about chemtrails, aliens, and every conspiracy you can think of. One day she said, “All you ever say to me is uh-huh. Why don’t you ever talk to me?” He said, “Everything you talk about sounds crazy.” (Women say they want honesty.) She went ape $hit. He said he left his stuff there, afraid to even go back and get it.
