Unanimous Supreme Court Decision Favoring Religious Freedom Sparks Backlash From Left

A segment of Democrats have been pushing for President Biden to have the ability to expand the roster of the Supreme Court and pack it with liberal justices, but Thursday's 9-0 ruling in favor of a religious foster care agency that would not work with LGBT couples is leaving some on the left disappointed with the entire court.

The court's 6-3 majority of Republican-appointed justices that came to be after former President Trump got to appoint three within four years has led left-wing political figures and activists to promote court packing as a way to negate a perceived conservative advantage. Thursday's decision in Fulton v. Philadelphia showed that even the liberal wing of the court can side with conservatives on hot-button issues.

"Can anyone give me any valid reason why Kagan, Breyer, and Sotomayor would rule for the Catholic foster care agency?" one Twitter user questioned. Whoops! We couldn't access this Tweet.

"This is what happens when there isn't one openly LGBTQ+ person in the Supreme Court," another said, adding, "F--- all the justices, incl. the supposedly liberal ones."

"Interesting... All the liberal justices on the US Supreme Court vote in favour of the right of a Catholic social services organisation [sic] to discriminate against gay people," another observed.

This is the exact reason we need to keep a non-partisan court. We need to make sure it takes a 3/4ths vote of Congress to appoint any judge to the Supreme Court and a two-thirds vote to any lower court.

Looks like the Supreme Court respects our Constitution and does not favor Marxism in the United States of America. I am guessing that the majority of true Americans are heaving a sigh of relief after the most disturbing couple of years in our nation since WWII and 9/11. I do believe that some cracks are appearing in the main stream media against the out of the closet Marxists who have had a field day in our major institutions for a long time. Are some of our super rich beginning to feel that they really do not want to lose this country?

This sadly still won’t work unless you go outside of the “elite” (i.e. corrupt) educational institutions to find nominees. Otherwise you’ll get the same America Last mindset, every single time.

One less source for predator pedos of the LGBTQP ilk to shop for what “breeders” produce.

Definitely a win for normalcy.

For the U.S. to live, Twitter must die.

That's like blaming the gun. Twitter doesn't Tweet, people Tweet.

There have been several SCOTUS decisions this term in which the libs have sided with the rest of the court to uphold the law as written, including three immigration decisions, in which the court ruled against the illegal aliens. My take is that with RBG’s death, Kagan, Beyer, and Sotomayor are more willing to listen to Thomas and Alito.

Interesting...None of the liberal justices on the US Supreme Court vote in favor of the right to discriminate against religious people.

"Can anyone give me any valid reason why Kagan, Breyer, and Sotomayor would rule for the Catholic foster care agency?" one Twitter user questioned.

I guess in this one instance they decided to read the Constitution and follow it.

"Interesting... All the liberal justices on the US Supreme Court vote in favour of the right of a Catholic social services organisation [sic] to discriminate against gay people," another observed.

Uh...no, actually, it was about not being able to discriminate against the Catholic foster care agency.

Zero logic from the Left - per usual.

Roberts, the scumbag, wrote the decision and the reason the Lib justices joined was the giant loop hole Roberts gave to all jurisdictions, including Philadelphia.

The loop hole was that Roberts determined that ONLY because Philadelphia does grant exceptions to its foster care policy. it could not make religious discrimination in those exceptions.

If Philadelphia changes its policies to eliminate the provisions that provide exceptions, it would no longer violate Roberts very limited ruling.

All other jurisdictions need to do is learn from Philadelphia’s mistake and write any exceptions out of its current foster care policies.

It was no Conservative victory and Alito and Thomas know it.
