Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) is introducing a bill on Friday aimed at blocking members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from buying land in the United States.
Although the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States does review some attempts by foreign entities to buy land in the country, the bill would completely stop CCP members from buying either public or private land in the U.S.
The bill, called the Securing America's Land from Foreign Interference Act, is being introduced by Roy along with Reps. Lance Gooden (R-Texas), Ken Buck (R-Colo.) and Randy Weber (R-Texas).
"In their quest for global domination, China has been buying up land and strategic infrastructure all over the world and in the United States," Roy said.

The CCP just purchases Smithfield and gets 140,000 acres of prime farmland in the deal.
It also gives them a way to purchase commodities and ship them to China without going through the commodity market.
Other nations have it so only nationals can own property, start businesses, etc. If a foreigner marries a national, only the national spouse can do those things, not the other partner.
Bottom line, citizens first.

I wonder how many countries allow US citizens to buy land to live on? I actually know of not one...but then I haven’t been in every country outside the USA where I lived, just three. I have passed through many where I was variously treated well or not.

There is a big difference between buying and being given. The bill should have included owning US lands.

China is growing much more slowly, not faster. We have both greater population growth through new births (1.69 with China per woman vs 1.73 with us, with 7.43 more American women than men vs 39 million more Chinese men than women), plus we are much nicer to our migrants than they are, with welcoming committees at the border here vs concentration camps and rape factories over there.
I think China is completely united so long as the libertarian idiots get their way and keep feeding them our country to try to make a buck.
