I managed to wade through the rest of the article. The groveling was extreme.

Absolutely no discussion of why Trump was antagonistic.

Nothing on US interests that Trump championed like trade imbalances, NATO payments, etc.

Only that everyone felt relaxed and comfortable.

And people eat this sh*t up.

“Only that everyone felt relaxed and comfortable.”

Heaven forfend that the ***holes who just plunged the entire planet into a 15 month long economic lockdown should be uncomfortable in any way.

First, it took four people to write this tripe?

Two, in case you're wondering about possible bias, here is a trip down memory lane regarding one of the four, Kaitlin Collins:

In April 2020, Collins questioned the president about his claim of total authority to manage social distancing restrictions related to the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19. At a White House press briefing later in April, she was asked by a White House official to exchange her front-row seat in the White House press room with a different network's reporter seated in the rear. Both Collins and the other reporter refused to comply with the request. The socially distanced seating plan for the briefing room had been managed by the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) and agreed to by White House officials the previous month. Collins' refusal to comply with the order issued by the White House official prompted that official to suggest that Secret Service may be summoned, a development that ultimately did not unfold.

In November 2020, Collins was in the news again after White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany refused to call on Collins, explaining "I don't call on activists."

Yep...clearly, there is no axe to grind here...
