Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday announced plans to build a wall along the state’s border with Mexico.
Abbott, a Republican, made the announcement during a “Border Security Summit” press conference in Del Rio, and said he would discuss the plan in more detail next week.

Is Governor Abbott ready to tell the SCOTUS to buzz off? Either this or some blue state AG indicting Trump (or both) is going to touch off a real storm. We are less united now than were were in 1859.

I’m sure if they were able to find the contractors who were working on it before, they would have all the contacts for the suppliers who built the sections of wall and other assorted components.
With the abrupt stop of construction, I’m sure there is a decent supply of unused wall components that didn’t get installed sitting in yards around the region.

I’ll imagine the Biden white hut will try to make the claim that you cannot used any of that material because they paid for that wall and to use it is theft and belongs to the federal government.

Like Trump said, Walls work.
So why can the federal government stop Texas from constructing a wall on state lands? It's not immigration if the people enter from non-managed border points, so all Texas has to argue is that they are funneling the people to the proper entry points so that the federal agencies tasked with immigration can do their jobs.
