The Washington Post's publisher accused the Biden DOJ of "unprecedented" assault on the media.
Fred Ryan described an "escalation" in attacks on the First Amendment since Trump left office.
The publisher of The Washington Post accused the US Department of Justice of an "unprecedented assault on American news organizations" under President Joe Biden.
Fred Ryan said that government action against media outlets had worsened since President Donald Trump left office, despite Biden officials taking a much less combative approach to the news media in public.
Ryan noted in an opinion article that Biden had criticized the Trump administration for using "extraordinary measures to obtain subpoenas to secretly seize records of reporters at three leading U.S. news organizations."

I think that Trump was very open and accessible to the Press. He drove their rating up and was very engaging.
But they hated his message.
Biden is better, in their opinion, because he isn’t Trump.
However, they are noticing that Biden is stomping all over the First Amendment. Something which Trump never did. I imagine the media will express “concern”, but nothing more.
There was more freedom of the press under President Trump than under any President in modern history.

Indeed, I would literally, if I had a choice of permanently getting rid of the alphabets or keeping Biden another 3 years, I would get rid of the Alphabets!
I don’t consider the alphabets and their staffs PATRIOTS anymore and I believe they are just as much an enemy of America as the Chinese Communists Party. That Fred Ryan somehow thinks he runs a “NEWS” organization is laughable.
By a weird coincidence, the same thing was said about the Obama regime.
This is largely some posturing, a PR CYA. But as the tramp of the jackboots gets closer, we do know that

Fred Ryan was Reagan’s chief of staff after he left WH and is now chairman of the Reagan library. I suspect he is not long for the compost at this rate.
