Historical Portraits of Early American Presidents Brought To Life Using AI Technology
Mystery Scoop ^ | December 25, 2020 | Mystery Scoop

Today we're going to try and use modern technology to breathe some life into the historical portraits of the very first Presidents of the United States by adding facial animations. The history teaches us that United States declared independence from Great Britain, on 4th July 1776, during the American Revolutionary War that lasted about 8 years. The Declaration of Independence has been largely written by Thomas Jefferson who was a member of five-man committee, appointed by the Continental Congress, that included John Adams, Roger Sherman, Benjamin Franklin and Robert Livingston. The revolutionary war ended with the Treaty of Paris on September 3, 1783, signed by US and British Representatives, recognizing US independence and granting US significant western territory. On April 30, 1789, George Washington, as a political leader, military general, statesman and Founding Father, took his oath of office as the first President of the United States.

Check the video to see the first 10 Presidents of the United States, in a way as never seen before. Enjoy.

Featured in this video: George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, Martin Van Buren, William Henry Harrison and John Tyler.

I've tried the software over at MyHeritage, using both photos and nice realistic portraits of posh ancestors, and mileage may vary, but it's pretty cool. Sometimes a little creepy.

They should do Biden and breathe some life into that old corpse.

It’s quitepossible they are using that technology for some of his appearances.

THAT was very cool. I have seen ones done from death masks, and they were okay, but these were astonishingly interesting to view. To me, it is how someone would look posing for a portrait, the occasional blink or wander of the eyes, the hint of a smile if someone walked in, that kind of thing.

Thank you.

Did you watch it? I found it...well, fascinating. There were a few that didn’t work well, but some sure did (to me, at least)

Washington’s face. What a face.

Pretty cool.

Now try it with Leonardo da Vinci's painting The Last Supper and see what reaction they get.

Don't let QAnon see the Founders winking and batting their eyelashes and ogling and smirking and pursing their lips in such a pervy way or we'll have a whole new set of nasty rumors started about them.

They look a little like deceased character actors. I could see John Houseman or John McGiver as John Adams, William Daniels (who played John Adams) as James Madison, George C. Scott as John Quincy Adams, Irish actor Cyril Cusack as Martin Van Buren, and Jimmy Durante as William Henry Harrison.

My interest in portraits of former Presidents is quite narrowly focused.

Here is the website that publicly hosts the software. Anyone can upload and animate their own family history portraits.
