Taxes were what kept the vagrants and beggars around, and fed the law enforcement industry with its police helicopters operating around the clock. Those employed in the law enforcement industry peddle fear; if you had a nice area you’d need 10% of the cops around now.
They will continue to be bailed out by responsible red states. We all pay California taxes.
I almost moved to CA in 2007 for a job. Last moment another job opportunity popped up and didn’t moved. Sincerely dodged a bullet there.

By abrogating Federal law, California effectively seceded from the Union and is no longer really a state
It’s a permanent cycle. California got rich and prosperous under Republican leaders like Reagan. Once it got rich the Democrats got in and helped themselves to the wealth.
States like Georgia are only a few steps behind. It’s was a backwater under decades of Democrats. In 20 years Republicans have created a booming economy, but now it is threatened by a Dem return.
This data is already 3 years old. Wait until 2020 figures come out in three years. It will make 8 billion look quaint.
This is just 2018-2019. I’m sure that the last two years have been even worse. Mexifornia is hemorrhaging taxpayers.
