President Joe Biden proposed a major concession on paying for an infrastructure bill according to a new report on details of private negotiations between the White House and Senate Republicans.

The Washington Post reports that Biden would not raise the corporate tax rate from 21 percent to 28 percent and instead propose a minimum corporate tax of 15 percent — for companies like Amazon that pay little to nothing in federal taxes.

Corporations don’t pay taxes. They collect taxes.

You think the demonRATs don’t already know this? Destruction of middle class is their goal. That’s where the conservative voters are. That such a state of affairs would mean the end of the demonRATs own prosperity also is something they can’t comprehend.

Funny, wasn’t it the LEFT that opposed the National Sales Tax to replace the Income Tax?

Wouldn’t that be an easier way of handling the Amazons of the world?

Biden’s Marxist handlers: “How soon can we be like Venezuela?”

Biden: “You tell me.”

Biden’s Handlers: “We’ll tell you alright. Here’s your marching orders. Make sure you propose a minimum 15 percent corporate tax for companies that Pay no federal taxes.”

Biden: “Your wish is my command.”

After he drives out all US businesses we will have no other choice than to starve.

That’s the plan.

If you make profits, you pay taxes. So are they going to start taxing revenues rather than just profits, or what?

Well said. And what Biden doesn’t understand (or maybe he doesn’t care) is that his plan will just incentivize more companies to move overseas.

A 15% import tariff is something that I would be in favor of. Income taxes? To progressive.

A 15% minimum tax on what? Net Income? How does the calculation of net income change for some companies and not others? Or maybe it is on Gross Income. I wouldn't put that past these Marxist bastards.

As already stated, corporations don't pay taxes, they collect them. If we want a level playing field and get out of this pitting people against business, and poor against the rich, then we need to radically change the way taxes are paid.

I have long been for a modified version of Neil Bortz's Fair Tax. Just get rid of the universal income aspect of it. That doesn't fly in my book. Everything else is on target, but the implementation of a use/sales tax requires repealing the constitutional amendment to tax income. That has to happen first, so we are never saddled with a use tax and a income tax at the federal level. The government needs far fewer ways to forcibly abscond with citizens' money.

Tariffs. Then more tariffs. Then lower the income tax rates and then more tariffs.

15% of what???? If the company has no taxable income, 0 x 15% = $0. Makes no sense to me. Seems as though they might start some kind of alternative minimum tax for corporations. The key to no tax liability for corporations is the amount and type of permissible deductions.
