The Morning Briefing: The GOP Isn't in Turmoil, It's Growing the Hell Up
PJ Media ^ | 13 May 2021 | Stephen Kruiser

There was a lot to choose from when pondering what to lead off with this morning. I was tempted to write about Ol’ Gropes again, but as I said, I’m sober. I want to stay that way a while longer. I will give brief mention to a rather disturbing post that Tyler wrote, however. It details the fact that 124 retired generals and admirals have confirmed our worst nightmare: the current president of the United States of America is a drooling moron who is mentally unfit to deal with a military crisis.

BUT NO MEAN TWEETS.

I’m going to focus on the big day that the House Republicans had yesterday. The vote to send Liz Cheney to the back bench dominated the news for a couple of reasons. The first is that the mainstream media hacks are desperate for anything that will give them a few hours respite from having to look at the unmitigated disaster in the Oval Office they’re tasked with propping up.

The second is that they’re heavily invested in keeping a narrative going that describes the GOP as a party in turmoil and without a moral center. Only four months into the Biden administration, I’m pretty sure they’re all aware they won’t have much positive to run on in 2022. Their only real hope is in what they perceive as demonizing the Republicans by firmly linking them to Donald Trump.

What they fail to grasp is that they’re only accomplishing a reinforcement of beliefs in people who are never going to vote Republican anyway. What are they going to do now, really super-duper not vote Republican?

Or any other type of crisis for that matter.

They have A LOT OF CATCHING UP TO DO and I WILL NEED SOLID PROOF of ‘amending their ways’ before I re-join ... and ever give them another dime after the Year 2020.

Yes. The Dems are looking for people to volunteer to work the polls, drive Republicans out of the room, and pull out box loads of pre-marked ballots.

BTW, anyone thinking that the Dems are going to cheat in 2022 just like they did in 2020 should get a job working on the Maginot Line. Only idiots try to keep re-fighting the last war.

The purge of Liz Cheney is the watershed beginning. The Republican rank and file are becoming aware of the duplicitous nature of RINOs and will decimate their numbers in the coming primaries and general elections. Some of it will not be pleasant but it will be necessary if the nation is to survive. RINOs are particularly destructive since they give cover and aid to the globalist, socialist Democrats.

The last time I checked, The Left, of both major U.S. political parties, got away with political cheating. What’s preventing this cheating from happening again, for each and every future U.S. election?

Pruning trees of old branches allows new branches to grow.

***********

But its the same old tree. The new branches will become just like the old ones. We need to grow a new tree that is capable of bearing fruit.

That’s a timely and rational question to ask. Unfortunately most of the GOP isn’t asking it. Meanwhile, the Dems are going over their lessons learned from the last election, refining their cheating, and preparing to manage the next election

Pruning is great but takes a while to grow back. Watering the Tree of Liberty on the other hand...

“Pruning trees of old branches allows new branches to grow.”

And I’d say welding creates quite a turmoil in the weld area but it cools down and voila there’s beautiful thing.
