Florida's governor on Wednesday night announced live on air clemency for everyone in his state who is being punished for violating COVID rules.
Ron DeSantis, the Republican governor of the state, appeared on Fox News to make the announcement.
He was flanked by Mike and Jillian Carnevale, gym owners from Plantation, Florida, who were repeatedly arrested for refusing to enforce a mask mandate.

America desperately needs this patriot along with the re-emergence of Trump MAGA.
We have an American Conservative governor. Republicans, as a party, are dead, as far as I’m concerned. We need an American Conservative resurgence, not a Republican one. (Yes, my capitalizations are deliberate.)

This is great! A lot of our cities - particularly in the Dem areas, such as Broward, Miami, etc. - had mayors on a power trip who imposed “mandates” up one side and down the other. This was not only because they were power-crazed freaks, but because they saw this as opposition to President Trump.
While I thought Trump should have opposed the Fauci tyranny more vigorously and taken back his presidency from the dwarf usurper, it was still obvious that Trump thought enough was enough, got the vaccine rolling, and wanted to get back to real life. Therefore to stay shutdown, visibly symbolized by the mask, was a Dem statement of defiance of Trump. Not abiding by their rules meant that people were no doubt Trump supporters and therefore must be punished. This whole thing was entirely political.
I’m glad that DeSantis, who is supported by the legislature, is trying to right these wrongs, because the fines and punishments imposed by these politically motivated “mandates” were a genuine violation of human rights.

DeSantis is not only a great conservative, he is a savvy politician.
His campaign for 2024 has already begun.

Similar philosophy to Pres. Trump but not the bombast that rubs people the wrong way.

I want President Trump back, but I would support DeSantis if President Trump does not run.
I do not mind Trumps bombast at all, It is highly effective against the Left, whichi is why they caterwaul about it.
Yet again DeSantis delivers.
I want to see Trump back in the saddle in 2024, but if he decides for some reason to abstain, I’m thinking this guy is the best bet for his successor.
I have to wonder if Trump has already decided and is behind everything DeSantis has done the past month or two. I don’t think so, but I do have to consider it. The only way he could look more like Trump 2.0 is if Trump were publicly involved in training him to do it. So far, I think Trummp is going to try again, barring physical or medical disaster.
But this sure looks like someone with a very good shot at picking up where Trump left off, without the baggage. Of course once the liberal media sees him as a potential front runner, they will do anything to destroy him. Same as they did the Donald.
