Remember that quaint notion of speedy trials? When was the last time you saw individuals charged with misdomeanors put into the felony around the nation circuit to get them to a holding area? Frankly, prisoners of war get better treatment.
Meanwhile some states are releasing serious felony prisoners due to CCP virus issues, en masse. IOW, you can be a convicted serious felon and have more rights than someone merely charged.
Any bets that the terrorist inmates at Gitmo were treated better?

The Jan 6 protesters will be held in jail permanently and *never* brought to trial. FedGov will leave them in prison until they confess to a crime or die. A trial would require discovery, and FedGov does not want discovery.
Why is the treatment of these individuals being tolerated? Where the # are the Republican Senators?
