Imagine a US without law enforcement and prisons. Basically, you remove law enforcement, there are/is no need for laws, cause yeah, who exactly is around to enforce them?

I ask this of people who advocate this nonsense.
Generally they state that communities would come up with
their own form of enforcement made up of community members.
It never quite dawns on these brain-trusts, that is exactly
what our local police are. They are members of the community
hired to make sure folks abide by the laws on the books.
It’s not that complicated to figure out.
Can anyone imagine if two or three power factions were to
seek the power to enforce the law? You could easily have
warring factions as they each vied to be the top dog.
It should also be noted, if there are no police, there are
no people to bring infractions to the local DA. This means
that anyone could do anything they wanted. Who would arrest
a rapist, a pedophile, a murderer, a person who beat other
members of society at random?
Talk about massive chaos.
