GOP Establishment Blames ‘Cancel Culture’ for Liz Cheney’s Expected Ouster From Leadership

The Republican Party establishment is blaming “cancel culture” for the expected ouster of Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) from GOP leadership for joining the Democrats’ illegal and unconstitutional impeachment of Donald Trump after he had already departed the White House.

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) issued this pathetic attack in lieu of Cheney finally receiving comeuppance for many years of betraying her party, her country, her constitution and her people.

“I feel it’s okay to go ahead and express what you feel is right to express and, you know, cancel culture is cancel culture no matter how you look at it, and unfortunately I think there are those that are trying to silence others in the party,” Ernst said.

“I support President Trump and his policies so I have a slightly different view on that but I still think we shouldn’t be trying to cancel voices, but what we can do is come together and try and win seats and 2022,” she added.

The newest trend for RINOs to avoid criticism is to blame “cancel culture” when their constituents hold them accountable for their poor voting records.

It’s not cancel culture when you rid yourself of representatives who don’t represent you.

Someone should tell Joni Ernst that they are elected representatives of the people, not defacto royalty.

It’s calling fighting back. Something which the RATs have always done while Republicans cravenly surrender.

CORRECT - Trump committed the ULTIMATE sin for Liz. He dared question her DICK father and President GWB aka “The Punching Bag”.

Trump is OOO an she spends more time bashing him than trying to win back the House.

GOOD RIDDANCE.

No, the "cancel culture" put her there when the Republicrats targeted patriots like President Trump.

Liz Cheney's "ouster" from leadership isn't enough. She needs to be 1. voted out of the Republican Party and 2. voted into the Democrat Party.

Did that make sense to her? If the GOP takes it on the chin the next few days, all the better. If this is their strategy, all the better.

Canceling somebody means going after them for disagreeing in ways that have nothing to do with the disagreement. For example if you demanded a tire dealership fire a mechanic because you don't like the mechanic's political views.

But when somebody is in a position that has everything to do with their opinion, it is reasonable to judge them on it. For example firing somebody from a political leadership position because you don't like their political views.

Its reasonable to require somebody to be a believing Christian if they are going to be a Priest. It is not reasonable to require somebody to be a believer if they are doing something that has nothing to do with their belief.

And so on. Seems the Left has no good examples of Cancel Culture, so they have to push this BS.

The RINOs are trying to muddy the waters on the term cancel culture. They only attach conservative Republicans.

As a voter, I reserve the right to “cancel” any damned politician I feel like. Go pound sand in a rat hole, GOPe.

so just how is cheney, a public figure, a politician no less, being cancelled?

i thought being cancelled was the humiliation, outing and targeting a private citizen and/or their family as function of being doxxed for their private actions.

how is cheney a private citizen?

how are her actions...private?

how is cheney being doxxed?

she is being attacked by her constituents whom she “represents,” because they disagree with her. but how is that not a part and parcel of being a politician. isn’t that what you signed up for if you run for election?

Yeah, the GOPe trying to save face and attacking the base. Shocking no one.

Lizard Cheney is getting bumped off because Republicans hate her guts.
It’s not because she’s being cancelled; it’s her positions being rejected.

She’s now too hot to handle and survived a vote in February but this time she won’t be so lucky.

Tomorrow should be a great day!
