THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY: DISMAYED BY AMERICA, INSPIRED BY CHINA
Powerline ^ | MAY 11, 2021 | PAUL MIRENGOFF

Disney has passed judgment on America. America has come up short — way short. We’re chronic racists and homophobes. We need to deal with our guilt and shame. If our racism prevents us from feeling guilty and ashamed, then we need to be pressured, and probably coerced, into experiencing these sentiments.

Disney seems like a tough grader. Is there any nation that meets its exacting standards?

Why, yes. China does.

Bob Iger, Chairman and former CEO of the Walt Disney Company, has said he’s “inspired by China’s vision.” In remarks at the National Committee on US-China Relations (NCUSCR) gala in 2011, Iger stated:

We’ve also worked hard to establish a number of mutually beneficial relationships with many officials throughout China. We’re inspired by their vision and we’re grateful that they share many of our beliefs, including one about the importance of intellectual property protection.

I’ve watched China emerge into a global economic force, an inspiring source of great innovation, offering opportunities that we see as virtually unlimited, and the Walt Disney company has certainly been increasing its presence in that vast country.

China is a ruthless dictatorship. It systematically oppresses its Uighur (Muslim) population, more than one million of whom are said to be held in concentration camps.

I very much doubt that any Disney employee has oppressed a minority group member. At worst, a few might have committed a “microaggression,” whatever that means.

Yet, Disney’s chairman is inspired by China and contemptuous of America and his white employees.

Is there a disconnect here? On the surface, yes.

But at a deeper level, maybe it hangs together. For one thing, Disney’s critique of America echoes China’s, as set forth recently in its recent confrontation with our Secretary of State.

Appalling.

So ethnic cleansing, intellectual property theft, and social control are the things that inspire Iger and the Devil Mouse?

Translation: Americans keep rejecting Disney’s woke trash, while Chinese consumers are undiscerning and will buy anything with bright colors, explosions, and fast action sequences.

Walt Disney was a patriot who loved America. He would be very angry at what his company has become.

“We’re inspired by their vision and we’re grateful that they share many of our beliefs, including one about the importance of intellectual property protection.”

What beliefs are those? China is one of the most racist countries on Earth, especially against blacks. It’s common knowledge that China routinely ignores intellectual property and that most of technological advances are stolen from the West. They also celebrate Chairman Mao who murdered and starved an estimated 70 million Chinese.

Well, I for one am excited.

When will we see “The Chinese Communist Wide World of ECMO Pavilion” which includes the ride that hooks you up to an ECMO machine while your organs are harvested?

Hollywood censors films to appease China, report suggests
BBC ^ | 8/06/20 / FR Posted on 8/7/2020, 6:48:32 AM by Libloather

Hollywood bosses have been censoring films to placate the film market in China, a report has suggested. The lengthy report says US film companies want to avoid losing access to China's lucrative box office market. It said casting, content, dialogue and plotlines were increasingly being tailored to appease censors in Beijing. The report, compiled by the free speech charity PEN America, claimed China was therefore influencing movies released in cinemas around the world. China holds the world's second largest box office market behind the US.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, American films earned $2.6bn (£2bn) in China last year, with Disney's Avengers finale, Endgame, making $614m (£466m). **SNIP**

The report said that Marvel's 2016 superhero film Dr Strange whitewashed a major Tibetan character for fear of jeopardizing the title's chances of success in China. The forthcoming Top Gun sequel, Maverick, was also criticised for the "mysterious disappearance of the Taiwanese flag" in a 2019 trailer. "Our biggest concern is that Hollywood is increasingly normalising pre-emptive self-censorship in anticipation of what the Beijing censor is looking for," said James Tager, author of the report. =============================================

Joe Biden helped his son Hunter get billion dollar deals in China.....but Joe's biggest deal was helping broker the Chinese takeover of the American entertainment industry. Xi’s visit to Los Angeles hit on all the right cultural notes. He schmoozed Hollywood bigwigs and their errand boys, like Dodd and Biden, he watched a Lakers game, and cheered Obama’s 100,000 Strong China initiative to have a hundred thousand American students study in the Communist dictatorship. “I can say with confidence my visit has been a full success,” Xi declared.

In China, culture serves the agenda of the Communist government. Unlike the Russians, who struggled vainly to stem the impact of American culture, their Chinese counterparts decided to control it at the source. Biden was a key figure in negotiating the terms on which the PRC would control Hollywood.

In 1962, the Manchurian Candidate depicted an effort by Communists in China, Russia, and elsewhere to kidnap and brainwash American soldiers. The modern remake replaced the Communists with a corporation and the Chinese doctor with a South African geneticist. China could not be offended. While Biden, Katzenberg, and Xi were partying at the Marriot, human rights protesters were calling for freedom, and being arrested by the henchmen of a one-party Democrat city and state for their trouble. Even while Biden was falsely claiming that the Hollywood sellout would improve human rights in China, the rise of China was already violating human rights in America. Now, as Chinese drones fly over American cities, police stalk empty streets, social media monopolies monitor every single phone, and Democrat officials dismiss the Bill of Rights while locking up millions of people, our rights are gone. And Joe Biden is the Manchurian Candidate who long ago sold out the country he now seeks to rule.
