Alabama is the same. I wear one in Walmart and Subway but not anyplace else.

I carry a mask and if store employees are wearing them along with the customers I’ll put it on otherwise it stays in my pocket.

Corporate America still has mask mandates in place, regardless of the state.

In NC if you go to the Liberal enclaves like Raleigh/Durham or Charlotte, masks everywhere. But in my area people just stopped wearing them. Stores and restaurants stopped asking people to wear them. It is as if collectively people said screw it. Cooper has to back off, he plans to run for the Senate when Burr retires. He will have a tough fight if he keeps the mask mandate in place. I am hearing 1 June will be the date no masks will be required.

As an aside I hear a lot of GOP types in the State complaining about Lara Trump running for Senate comparing her to Elizabeth Dole. I want to beat Cooper and get control of the Senate to stop the RATS. Lara Trump has the backing and name recognition to do that. Cooper only became Governor over the bathroom issue in Charlotte. We also had a horrible GOP Governor, but it is past time to retire Cooper. No one should forget how tyrannical he behaved during COVID.

Neanderthals out here in south Texas countryside have been off for a while. I did encounter a McDonalds where I went in maskless and the maskhole behind the counter refused to do her job other than say she could not serve me without me having a mask. I said fine, I’ll go spend my money elsewhere and walked out.

My state, Kentucky, still has a mask mandate. The governor, Andy Beshear, imposed it last year. This year, the General Assembly (GA) passed legislation to end the “emergency” and the governor’s mandates. The governor vetoed the legislation and the GA quickly overrode the vetoes. The governor then found a favorable judge, Philip Shepherd, that, believe it not, declared that the GA could not enact laws that take away the powers of the governor that had been previously given him by the GA. Sadly, the courts have been allowed to decide whether the GA can enact lawful legislation. So, to date, Kentucky still has a mask mandate.

“ Menard’s for instance, yelled at me when I entered their store without a mask.”

I wonder about the legitimacy here. Sure, they are a private business and supposedly able to decide with whom they do business...but... are they considered a public accommodation, and limited in that regard? It seems that adding requirements for entry would be “problematic”, to use one of their words. For instance, demand no sagging pants or ridiculously oversized clothing for entry and howls of racism would occur. How about no men in dresses? But insisting on a face diaper is somehow ok.

Well there you have it. A list of states to move to or out of. Quit supporting tyrants with your tax dollars.

Missouri never mandated masks and we had all of a three week lockdown last Spring. Gov squish Parsons did it because everyone else was doing it, even though it was long before any peak here. COVID hadn’t hardly even shown up here yet.

St Louis has a mask mandate but that’s because it’s run by leftist tyrants.

Most people here in rural MO don’t wear masks or social distance and most haven’t and won’t be taking he jab. Kids have been back at school for 5 months, no masks.

That’s why our hospitals are full and we’re dying en masse. Oh wait, none of that’s happening.

We’ve had all of 35 deaths attributed to COVID in 1 1/2 years. Don’t know the ages or conditions but I’m pretty sure it’s the usual, 80+ with 2-3 comorbidities aka the same people who if they got the flu, likely would have developed pneumonia and died or simply would have died from one of their other ailments within this past 1 1/2 years.

The 35 deaths are sad but not cause to remake society.

Which doesn’t matter when businesses have been threatened with being shut down for a falsified charge if they don’t enforce the asinine mask order, especially small businesses.

We have noticed that there are a few places that have removed the signs from their front doors, and at least one place no longer has their staff wearing masks, so that’s encouraging.

I’m in Alabama, too. Some stores, like my local Walmart and Subway do. Less and less everyday.

Now, I haven’t been in the local Subway in about 2 weeks, but last time there, they demanded a guy put on a mask. He didn’t have one, so they gave him one.

I’m easy going so I will if they say so but not if they don’t.

The People’s Embarrassment of Maryland still has an indoors mask mandate, but none outdoors.

It’s still amazing how immune people are to facts and exhibit zero common sense. I still see masked people on the sidewalk stepping into the street and burying their faces in their arms, just to avoid a split-second encounter with another walker going the other way.

".... I am hearing 1 June will be the date no masks will be required...."

The key to knowing whether these mandates are intended to protect your health or are just politically motivated are the dates and locations.

Why say that masks will no longer be needed after a certain date? The virus knows nothing about dates. It doesn't have a calendar.

The same is true when certain businesses are called out for closing or wearing masks when others aren't. The virus doesn't know where you're at or what business you're in or not. Gyms and churches are closed but bars aren't? Restaurants are closed but hardware stores are not?

The dates and locales tell you this is all political and not based on your health and well being.

But then the intelligent ones among us already knew that.

Outside of Detroit and Lansing in Michigan we just ignore mandates.

We don’t party like it’s 1999......we live like we’re in South Dakota.

Then you wouldn't like my part of Maryland. Here, everybody f*cking wears them. It's like a cult. I end up wearing it in most places so I won't get kicked out. They're nuts.

Cases have been dropping, but experts worry reopening too soon could cause cases to rise.

How many times do 'experts' have to be wrong before we quit calling them 'experts?'

Lockdown Larry Hogan AKA Lord Larry, just recently was kind enough to allow us, poor benighted citizens in MD to go sans mask outdoors. The guy is a power-hungry kook.

I’m down here in Spanish Fort and haven’t worn a mask since this whole thing started. I carried one in my pocket just in case, but was never asked to mask up except by one busy body who got a Come to Jesus Meeting regarding authority.

I do have to wear one at work during meetings, but it’s not a state mandate, it’s corporate policy as of right now.
