House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said he has set a vote for May 12 over whether to oust Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) from her position as House GOP conference chair, soon after he endorsed Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) for the party’s No. 3 spot in the chamber.
Why doesn’t the idiot have the common decency just to stand down?

McCarthy is probably pretty relieved that he gets to replace a toxic Liz Cheney with an even more left-wing Elise Stefanik.

Her policy positions are secondary for McCarthys purposes
If the GOP vote to keep her, the GOP’s journey on the road to the dark side will be complete and we will officially have the uniparty. Although I suspect many of you think we already have a uniparty.
Keep in mind that the leadership position Lizard Cheney holds is nothing but a symbolic waste of skin that the GOP uses to curry favor with female voters. Go back and look at a list of people who previously held that House GOP leadership role in the past. I didn’t even recognize some of the names, and most of the Ellen’s I did recognize were inconsequential hacks.
